im not impressed. :(
when i looked at playstation2. i wasnt either.
face it. the television u're playing the games on is still stuck at 320x240 resolution.
cant read anything with that kind of rez. i mean, look at the big wordings have to be on a screen every time u looked and do some selections.
still sux.
i was playing Quake III. HOLY SHINTO rez at 1600x1200. amazing textures onscreen n blood detail. u can never have that on television. no matter how good Sony, Nintendo, and MS makes consoles, its still dumb. too bad they dont make nice arcade games on the computers :( cause the graphics n accelerators now a day is beyond imagination. cant wait for Soldier of Fortune 2 dudes
people often complain computer controls sux. well, thats cause peop dont have controllers to begin with. i went out n bought the USB adapter to use PS2 controllers on the comp. its awesome under WIN XP, cause the drivers knew what it was n take advantage of the digi and ana control as well! dang, its awesome! the power of computer n control of the PS2 gamepad.

Game looks good. By Spring 2002 we'll probably have a few nice looking PS2 and PC games as well. I'm still not going to buy a console anytime soon.

Mebbe you don't get out much, but haven't u seen 1080i or 720p resolution on an HDTV yet??? I know they've had them at Best Buy here for AGES, and if you bought a new TV for $1500+ over the last year then chances are its HDTV ready (supports the high resolutions.) Sure, maybe 1080 lines isn't as good as 1200 lines, but then you've got to compare SIZE!!!

IMHO, 1080i on a 40+ inch TV blows away any monitor in the consumer market today.

it doesnt work like that. the console games r designed for low rez television. playing games on an HDTV, u still gonna see a picture thats 320x240.
try opening an any image at low resolution like 40x40 pixels. n then blow it up to fit your monitor screen at 1600x1200. its horrible man!! if the Xbox games r smart, it can recognize that u're on an HDTV, n then readjust to 1080 lines instead of 240, dang!!! thas phat yo!
remember, u can always scale down, but u can NEVER increase rez. take DVDs for instance, its native rez is at 720i. looks fine, if not great on my regular TV. but dang, i get my money's worth on the Digital projector!

increasing the rez to that size would destroy the performance.
