Does anyone have the Mad Dog DVD player? I would like to buy a DVD player for my computer, but I have a cheap MB with onboard graphics(no, it's not like it's an nforce board or anything good. PIII-1GHz). I can't find any requirements for this player, but the Cendyne DVD player requires at least 8MB AGP Graphics card, Cendyne's will not support onboard or PCI cards. Does anyone know if this is also the case for the Mad Dog drive?

Thanks :)

Lots of people @ FW have been successful placing phone orders using cpn's w/ FAR items. I guess OMAX isn't enforcing the policy as hard. YMMV.

Diggler

P.S. The Cendyne 52x CD-RW & WD 120 Gig HDD are both on-line now. Order by ITEM #.

P.S.S. I'm about to update POST #4 with important info on new limitations w/ OMAX.COM coupons.

Also don't forget that Omax has the 64MB Lexar USB JumpDrive for $10:

$20 - $10 Manufacturer MIR = $10.

Pretty good deal IMHO. BTW this was on the Back 2 School flyer.

I picked up the Cendyne 52x in Orlando (where it is not in the local circular), but the CSR said that the rebate would not be a problem. I know people order this stuff online or by phone even if it is not in their "market" Has anyone had rebate discrepancies due to it not being in your "market's ad"?

I just dont want to have all the UPCs cut, and sent, only to have the rebate rejected. Any ideas>

While I was going through the ordering process the WD drive and CDRW changed to CBO, but it let me order anyway...

Do you think this will cause rebate problems for me? If so what will OMAX do?

You placed your order early enough into the sale that the items will likely be delivered in a timely fashion. Any items which arrive too late for the MIRs to be submitted can always be returned. OMAX takes back a "prorated" portion of the coupon used during refunds. Thus, you don't lose the entire coupon for those items you decide to keep.

Items were OOS earlier in the day, but they are in stock now! I had to get the kyphermedia cd's instead of the other one's because they were OOS. But other than that I got all of deal 1. :D

I went to OM this am with no intentions of getting another CDRW. But?since they happen to have about a dozen of the Cendyne drives on an end cap I figured I?d check for a Light-on. Found 1 (the only in the stack) and decided it was too good to pass up. I understand we are now supposed to use #25 for the OM part of the rebate, and I?m assuming that?s also the one that gets the ?copy? of the UPC, but what do I use for an argument when they deny me for not including an original UPC per the guidelines?

this has been discussed many times - include a note with the rebate form saying that you sent the original upc for the manufacture rebate

Delbert, if you apply for your Cendyne OMAX-MIR on-line, the resulting rebate form will likely list: "ORIGINAL or COPY of UPC CODE."

Everybody, Thanks to quincy2002, we now have a scan of the OMAX QRF which proves that Rebate #25P is indeed the Cendyne 52x OM-MIR. (Notice that the ITEM # listed at the beginning of the line is indeed the Cendnye 52x Internal CD-RW).

Diggler

*EDIT* Forgot to mention: Link to the QRF scan can be found in POST #3 - Rebate Issues.

hey I guys I just tried the order online, and the hard drive is " CBO" .. it will go in my cart, I'm guessing cbo is customer back ordered or something like that.. should I go ahead with the deal, or will omax just call and hassle me?

CBO is currently backordered.

You can order it and if they get it back in stock within 10 days they will shop it out.

CBO, currently back ordered. If you read under the product description (on certain items), OM states they will cancel that product if it is on backorder.

Thank you "sak". I was able to get the price match over the phone! I had to call because my order was $250.xx, and with the pricematch they would have taken away my $50 coupon. To keep my after pm total above $250.00, the csr was nice enough to let me add two FAR items that were not available to me on-line: jewel cases 20032776 and cd-r spindle 20068800.:D

just called a CSR and they said that if I ordered, the rest of my order would be shipped out, and then they would call me in 7 days if the hard drive hasn't come back into stock - anyone know if they just keep it back ordered until the sale is over or what? I really don't wanna waste my time returning all the other stuff if they're just gonna lead me around in a circle (deal #1)
