Just picked one up from local OM with Staples' 30off150 coupon. The shelf tag is $229.99, but rang up $199.99. It's still a good deal for less than $100 after MIR, although it's not as good as the CompUSA/Bestbuy deal of $100 for 120GB two weeks ago.

Does OM accept Staples coupons? It depends on the whim of the store manager.

How "hot" is this? I mean, I just picked one up, it seems kinda good...but this doesn't seem to be a very popular thread....

From my experiences not many OM's will have it in stock.
Hope you are lucky enough to find one.

As stated in the beginning there are some somewhat better deals out there (e.g. SAM's 100GB for $119) however this one is pretty widely available.

I called 3 local OM and talked to their manager. They all don't accept competitors coupon. I guess this deal is not that great.
Too bad compusa deal is gone.

unfortunately no sam's club around here.. too bad costco doesnt have a deal like that. i would have been all over it. i just ended up getting the Seagate Barracuda ATA IV 80GB bare drive from Fry's for $119 after MIR ($169 - $50 MIR). nice drive, took forever formatting that sucker though.. hope no other deal comes along for me to have to go thru that again.. :p

I know this is not as hot of a deal as the now famous Sam's 100GB deal, but it does seem pretty good nonetheless...80GB for $120 after $80 rebate....But I still need to put this in perspective...

Is this as 'hot' as I think it is?
