Saw this movie today, it was like Die Hard at the White House. The movie had many flaws and was laughable at best. I won't reveal any spoilers, but i kept saying to myself "oh, come on, really" over and over in trying to believe all the b.s throughout this movie.

IMDB rated it at 7.2, i would rate it as 4.0, it on the same par with every other hollywood movie where there is a super good guy vs a super bad guy.

If you like Die Hard or Under Siege, you'll like this. Anyone else see this? Comments?

That's about the way it looked in the trailers.

I'll probably rent it once it hits Redbox...but I wouldn't pay to see it in a theater.

I hear mixed reviews. But it seems the people who like it accept it for what it is. For example I love Commando and The Condemned, both terrible movies but they know they are terrible and that is why they are great

tempted to see this is theaters as the only other option is oz

Noob, you wait for the monthly Redbox coupon so you can rent a BR movie for 30 cents! There's one going on right now. Check slickdeal.

We're still going through these and RedBox sends us free codes via text message frequently.

We were at CostCo today and I thought of you while we strolled down the cereal isle. No homo.

<3 I still can't believe Costco discontinued Kirkland Signature Raisin Bran by Post. I will write them a letter and threaten to cancel my membership.

I'm sure your sternly worded note will make them quake in their boots...

It would be more believable if these stupid movie companies stopped worrying about Communist China and made the bad guys Chinese instead of North Koreans. North Korea can't even feed it's own people or put diesel oil in their Navy ships, how the fuck are they going to invade America (new Red Dawn) or take over the white house (Olympus Has Fallen)?

I thought the movie was great. Fucking critics. You ever wonder why those great songs on YouTube have thumbs down? Yazoo. LMAO!

Trailers made it look like shit, I'm actually blindsided it got as high as 52% on RT. I'll probably watch it when it's free.

Wait a fucking second. This was North Korea again, like the recent Red Dawn? Oh, I don't think I can watch that.

I agree. What was that game that was put out about a year ago where NK takes over the south pacific and then invades the United States? This is a country that has 1950s era technology with an 1800s era economy.

But I sometimes wonder if it isnt a conspiracy between our govt and hollywood to rile up the masses against the next enemy.

Why not? North Korea likes to pretend that they have a bad ass army capable of defeating the United States in their propaganda videos... ours just have better special effects 🙂

If you take the movie for what it was, (an off-season action film) then it was fine. The plot had massive holes however.

If they cleared a huge radius zone around the white house, why were there still news vans and camera men and news choppers?!?

Why had none of the key codes and passwords in the white house changed in the 18 months since Banning had been removed from the presidential detail?

If Kang was going to detonate all of the missiles in the US, in turn detonating the nuclear warheads and turning the US into a nuclear wasteland, why was he trying to escape in the final 4 countdown? Where was he going to escape to in 4 minutes?!?

Other than that, I enjoyed the action and ridiculously high body count and the execution of the enemy operation.

uugg.. where to being...

1) Why was Agent Benning the only one firing on the bad guys from behind them?
dont the SS have undercover agents slightly outside the WH perimeter?

2) WTF SS agents swarming out of the WH to be mowed down by machine gun fire?
it reminded me of Castle Wolfenstien.
Why did the SS agents come out AFTER the guards on the lawn were all killed? why not come out DURING the firefight?

3) how did the fighter shoot down the gunship when the WH anti-air missiles couldnt?

4) After the gunship killed all the men on the WH rooftop, why didnt some SS agents go up and replace them? instead of all of them swarming out of the WH front door (and being mowed down)?

5) the 6 apache helicopters being shot down by the Hydra6 super machine gun: why didnt any of the chopers fire at it?! it's not like the supergun had a cloak/jammer.
