for years I poured olive oil liberally on almost anything I make:
salad (with balsamic vinegar), spaghetti, microwaved veggies

I never realized olive oil was so calorie dense till I read the back of the Costco container recently.
it's like eating peanut butter.

salad (with balsamic vinegar) is a meal by itself. same for microwaved veggies.
and I need to skip dinner if I'm having spaghetti w/olive oil for lunch. 😱

Oils fill you up and they are not digested as well as other energy forms.

Now if you want to gain weight, drink alcohol. It's rapidly absorbed by the body and has more calories than sugar.

It's nearly 100% fat. What did you expect?

Yep, but I still like Olive Oil for a lot of things.

Use Canola for others, it varies on what your up to I guess, we even have a few other things around.

I used to drink a shot glass worth of it if I hadn't eaten enough calories in the day and was too lazy to make real food. Kind of gross but I got used to it .. 400 calories in a couple seconds!

You have to be careful with any food high in fats, as it's more calorie dense.

Olive oil is one of the only things I measure out with actual tablespoons because of this.
