Older WoW players?

I am a 34 yo WoW player. I can't be the only one. But it seems that all I run into are 14-18 yo's. Not that there is anything wrong with 14-18yo's I would just like to play with some people closer to my age. So if any of you are out there send me a pm or find me in game and we could run some quests together. I play in Shadow Song server and my name is Alexbeard.

I don't play on your server, but I have found a lot of older people (or at least older-acting people) from 6pm to 10pm CST. During the other times, the maturity level seems to be quite a bit more suck.

My teens 16 / 13 play. I just got another brand new copy and am thinking of starting. I'm 39 here. I might sell it though .... not sure ...

It's all about the mental age. And intoxication level. If I'm playing Halo 2 blitzed, you can bet I'll talk more smack (and more profane) than a sober teenager. 😛

If you don't mind me asking, what is the fee per month to play? I've never played a massive online multi player game before. I guess I'm afraid that they delete accounts if you decide you don't want to play for a few months. (never hurts to take a break every now and then) Which would make me have to keep paying forever or loose everything.

I'm a big neverwinter nights fan and have always been a fan of the warcraft series since the first one. I'm 22 by the way. If I did get the game I'd preferably want to stay away from the teen crowd myself.

Nope. Not gonna do it. Just sold that new copy. Maybe by this summer ........

Same. OP, what level are you? It gets a lot better once you're about level 20 or 25 + and out of the newbie zones. The last time I was in the Barrens I was subjected to spam from 2 children who were too chicken to duel, but alas not too chicken to spam about each other's mother, and I ended up leaving the general channel because of it. Also, Horde players seem much more mature; every 12 year old and his kid brother made NE female characters, it's great to not to have to hear what must be ridiculous amounts of spam and AOLspeak from them (u no wut i m takkin about olololololo). At higher levels you can also look for a respectable guild to join.

I?m in my mid-twenties. I joined a guild on Sargeras that feels more like an AOL chat room. There is more talking than questing. I don?t know their ages but some appear to be young females looking for a relationship.

I?m so tempted to say, ?hey ladies if your not going to play the game then leave and free up some bandwidth for those who do want to play.?

I wish I had asked the proper questions before joining the guild. Oh well?I?ll chalk it up as my first rookie gamer mistake.

I recently started to play a NE Druid on Bronzebeard. I agree, there are a lot of female NE?s. It may be to soon for me to tell, but I think the NE female char. is attracting quite a few immature men to play a NE.

Thirty-three here on Sargeras (PVP) server.

I have a few of friends in their late twenties, early thirties that play on our server, too.

edit: heh, just saw the poster above is on Sargeras 🙂

Which guild?

Tukut
LVL 39 Shaman
40 by the time you read this post 😉
The Imperium

Typing /leave General was the best thing I ever did. It makes the game way more enjoyable.

Joining a guild helps too. In addition to our guild chat, we have a special channel where people can organize groups and ask quest-related questions, so there's really no reason to even be in general chat.

I've also noticed a bunch of guys playing as NE females - bunch of sickies if you ask me 😀

I'm 28 and my wife and I play on Shadowsong. I'm a lvl 23 Dwarf Hunter (Cthkathal), currently in the Redridge/Lakeshire area. My wife is a lvl 16 or so Human Warrior (Aprudesity) and I think she's in the Sentinel Hill area.

I just a second copy of the game for my wife, so we will both probably be creating new characters to play at the same time, but we'll both still be playing our old characters. She plays during the day and I'm on in later evenings (9-11 central).

Look us up sometime, we are often hurting for mature players for quests ourselves. We're both rather new to RPGs (she moreso than I), so we sometimes make mistakes and get killed, if that's a problem 😛

Do you actually have a horde character? Just wondering. To me the horde is extremely mature, but that's mostly because I can't understand anything they say, rarely see them, and don't have to tolerate their spam of LocalDefense.

I'm 39 and play on Dethecus (Moz/Suedehead). Most are pretty mature on my server. It's a low pop server, so that may be why, but I get the impression that they are older players as well.
