Old Vacuum Sealed Chicken Breasts

My parents were cleaning out their freezer and found a package of vacuum sealed, always been frozen chicken breasts from 2002. Think they are still good? The seals look very tight and the chicken looks like new.

Are you serious? Are the forums honestly timewarping AGAIN? Good thing we got rid of fusetalk...

Edit: mother of god...

My post is #1?!?!

timewarps? fuck thought they fixed that?

as for the poster NO DON"T EAT THEM. thats a little outside what is safe..

Tell your parents to clean their freezer more often. As for the chicken, toss it, it's not worth the risk.

edit
My first time warp, zerocool84 posted before me.

If you could cook to suggested temperatures it wouldn't actually matter.
If it actually stayed frozen the whole time it wouldn't of even needed to be vacuum sealed to be good still.

Not that I would eat it but just saying.

Meat kept frozen will not harm you no matter if it has been 100 years in the freezer, it just loses its nutritional value the longer it is frozen, you basically end up with fibrous tissue with no vitamins.

First of all, you won't get sick from it. It's unlikely any bacteria have had time to grow, and as stated if you properly cooked it everything would be dead. If they were frozen in a -80C freezer I'd say go for it, but chances are it has partially frozen and thawed many times over the years, making it extremely freezer burnt. It'll just be dry and nasty.
