Basically Reddit. I sell on HardForum since FSFT (which brought me here) is basically all but dead.

pretty fucking dead these days. time to start living in the real world, I guess

I tried that once, man yo don't wanna go that route. For one thing, you'll have to venture outside, no way around it. Sunburn's on all exposed body parts and everything you do seems exhausting. Don't even think about wearing those flip flops ...the sun....it hurts. Then there's people that want to speak vocally while looking directly at you. You're expected to shave, you're expected to shower..daily. Screw that. Just put on your Vive and roll with it, you won't miss much as talking to a dead parakeet can enlighten you more than this place ever will.

IMO these forums are still going strong. A big reason is that they are tech forums by and large.

I used to hang out a whole lot at Rottentomatoes Forums back 10 years ago. They went all to hell. They "upgraded" and then a ton of people couldn't access the forums and the mods were little help if any. I was among those and I stopped trying. Finally, some years later I was able to login but all my old links to threads didn't work. They never fixed that. They made it possible to find a thread if you knew the year. They chucked all the threads into their own years and you could search and maybe find what you were looking for if it meant that much to you. They lost a big proportion of their registered participants. I almost never go there anymore. There used to be amazing threads. Many people there were tremendous cinema enthusiasts. It's terrible what happened.

I think one moral to the story is that if there's any info online that is really important to you you should copy/paste it into your own data. Well, more-so for a site that might go under, of course.
