the kunio series was the best, both the regular beat them up and the sport ones. For those of u don't know what i'm talking about, the series was never released outside japan, they had plans to release the game in the states but the company went down, it was going to be called crash 'n the boys in the states.

I hate playing old school games in front of a computer screen on a keyboard...it's just not really fun

I agree, but it's pretty fun playing them via the XBOX through my console gaming set-up.

yeah...that's different than having to sit at a comptuer alone...a lot of the fun of the original nintendo which a lot of modern consoles haven't quite figured out is playing a game against or with a friend...sure games like FFX, Splinter Cell, GTA are fun, but I just can't get into them...whereas you'd always be down for a game of turtles 2 the arcade game with a friend...

I brought out the old NES a few years ago in college and attempted to beat the original Ninja Gaiden (I never could beat the first one as a kid). After about seven hours I finally did it. They just don't make games like that any more.

With tecmo bowl you could score on every play with the bills.

There was a play that the TE McKeller would run a fly. Even if the opponent picked the right Defence there was no LB that could keep up with him.

I would get at least 10 TDS a game that way;)

Ahh the memories. I remember having sleepovers where we rented NES games and played all night.

You should look into the NES emulators instead of buying one off of eBay. You can save anywhere so you can finally beat those near impossible games.

An NES emulator through the Dreamcast is better because you don't need to mod the system and ruin your chances in the future of playing on Xbox live.

I never understood that either... But that SMB game was weird anyhow. If you remember, you could knock the bad guys upside down, land on them, pick them up, and throw them at each other. It was sort of a neat improvement. Plus you could fly with the Princess.... :p
