Old School NES

I was remembering the good ole days of the NES recently. I was talking with a guy at work and got going on Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. I could never get too far, only past the first jogging seen. Does anyone else remember some good NES games? I was thinking about picking up an old NES on eBay.

do the old NES still work? wouldn't they have fallen apart by now? Also, if you picked up a copy of Zelda, would the battery backup still work?

played mike tyson's punchout on emu, its almost impossible to beat even with the ability to save at any point

I beat Mike Tyson many times. Thats a great game. Obviously all Mario Bros. games, Zelda games, Contra....there are to many. I still have a Nintendo locked up in the Garage. It will serve me well when I'm 80 years old and showing the grandkids what I used to play.

I couldn't really say I'm "good" at most video games, but I like trying them out from time to time. I like the racing games the best (Road Rash for the computer was awesome if you've ever heard of it)

and of course there is the obligatory Konami code.... I don't think I even need to type it out. That will be burned into my brain for the rest of my life. I'm going to be on my deathbed when I'm like 90... I won't remember my name, won't recognize my family, will lose all control of my bodily functions...

and still I will be muttering "Up,Up,Down,Down,Left,Right,Left,Right,B,A,START" as my thumbs mimic the motions... 😀

rygar, trojan ninja gaiden, metroid, kid icarus, castlevania, ice brothers (i think) were fun games.

Ah yes. I used to play DuckHunt, Mario, Bases Loaded, Tecmo Baseball, Castlevania, Mission: Impossible, Exitebike, RC Pro Am, and Cobra Command to name a few. I miss my NES. Still have my atari, though.

I ditched classes for a 4 days straight one year and didn't leave the room just so I could say I beat tyson without the cheats...I'd always get to him and die...it became a huge thing in the dorms cause people would walk by and cheer me on and people would come down and check if I had beaten tyson yet...well eventually I got to the point where I could beat him everytime....it was kind of nice cause people would bring me beers and come chill and talk about old school nintendo...

I love the power glove...it's so bad
