Going really old school, the WWII propaganda cartoons were some of my favorites. I also liked the generic type from the early 40s that just featured general silliness.

There was a Bugs bunny episode where he plays jokes on the Japanese army...its funny as hell but is not shown any longer on TV because it's not considered PC.

I just googled half of these cartoons, and half of them have IMDB links for upcomming movies. It looks like the rain of superheros is over and the rain of nostalgic cartoon movies is starting!

I was talking with my wife about cartoons from our childhood and how different things are now compared to then.
I had a hell of a time remembering the name of Klondike Kat from the underdog show.
Off the top of my head, what I remember:

GI Joe
Tom and Jerry
Great Space Coaster (not always a cartoon)
Scooby Do
Smurfs (her call on that one)
Yogi Bear
Jetsons
Under Dog
Transformers
He-Man
Thundar the Barbarian
Jonny Quest
Sea Lab
Flintstones
Speed Racer
- Hanna Barbara cartoon with the race that had an evil guy with a black mustache and a white dog....some miss peabody or shit was in it (she always wore pink which I blame on girls being infatuated with that shitty color).

Any more from the children of the 70's?

Being an expert in the subject, it is my duty to point out that:

GI Joe - 1980's
Tom and Jerry - 1950's - 1960's
Great Space Coaster (not always a cartoon) 1980's
Scooby Do - 1970's
Smurfs (her call on that one) - 1980's
Yogi Bear 1950's-1960's
Jetsons - 1960's
Under Dog - 1970's
Transformers -1980's
He-Man - 1980's
Thundar the Barbarian - 1980's
Jonny Quest - 1960's
Sea Lab - (obscure 1960's cartoon)
Flintstones - 1960's (spinoffs in 1970's)
Speed Racer - 1960's
- Hanna Barbara cartoon with the race that had an evil guy with a black mustache and a white dog....some miss peabody or shit was in it (she always wore pink which I blame on girls being infatuated with that shitty color). - This was called Wacky Races - 1970's

So, only a few of your cartoons were 1970's cartoons :)

My favorites during that time period were:

Genie (YAPPLE DAPPLE!)
Wheelie
Josie and the Pussycats
Jabberjaw
HR Puffinstuff
The Banana Splits
Sigmond and the Seamonsters (this used to scare the crap out of me though)
Fat Albert!!!

I always liked the intro music to that. Text

Also, the girl from Wacky Racers was Penelope Pitstop. She had her own show at one point. Dick Dastardly and Muttley were the villains in Wacky Racers. They also had their own show, Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines where they always failed to catch Yankee Doodle Pigeon.

Peter Pefect was in Wacky Races too....but his car looked like a giant wang. Never got how that got past the censors.
