Fox gets about triple the numbers of MSNBC. You know what that means? If 3 million people were watching FoxNews, a million would be watching MSNBC.

The "nobody watches" rhetoric is just your own desire to overstate the irrelevance of MSNBC. Which if they were so unimportant why would you expend so much effort to repeat that over and over and over.

And over and over.

Why anyone gives a shit about TV ratings... ugh.

It's the right wing mantra. Repeating things over and over again eventually make them true.

NEW YORK (AP) — MSNBC says Keith Olbermann will be back on the air Tuesday, ending his suspension for violating NBC's rules against making political donations after two shows.

MSNBC's chief executive Phil Griffin said late Sunday that after several days of deliberation, he had determined that two days off the air was "an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy."

so suspended 2 days eh? WTF was the point then?

I have fired many people. "Indefinite suspension without pay" are code words that buy time to allow him to resign rather than be fired. If he doesn't resign within a few hours or days, he will be fired.

The ball is now in Olbermann's court. He could fight it and likely lose as his contract and MSLSD's employment policies will likely stand up in a labor hearing. If they don't, well, that will be really an interesting turn of events.

Either way, there is now a "poisoned environment" between him and his employer and it is likely that both will see the need to end the relationship. Just the details remain to be worked out, ie severance terms.

Nice try, sport

LOL! Olbermann is their cash cow. I guess that the corporatocrats decided that maintaining the vitriol and the cash flow is more important than principle.

Double LOL at those "progressives" here who believe their icons represent some different, higher standard! :awe:

it's a shame I missed this before, did like his statement though...

"You should know that I mistakenly violated an inconsistently applied rule -- which I previously knew nothing about," Olbermann said in his statement on Tuesday. "I was suspended without a hearing, and learned of that suspension through the media."

So much for him continuing the "I don't vote to maintain my unbiased appearance" crap.
