People on the officer.com message boards are outraged that she was not fired for this incident. Her fellow officers on officer.com have spoken out against her. The Blue Wall of Silence rarely applies to the administration, because most patrol officers and detectives don't really care for their admin and/or can't change what they do. Your beef should be with her administration and their terrible AA standards and policies.

Completely unprofessional from start to finish. Even without law enforcement training it's obvious to most people that the best way to get anyone to comply, especially if you suspect them of being intoxicated, is to remain calm and authoritative. This means not swearing every other word, screaming like a hysterical woman, making wild threats....and dare I say it, using clear english helps too. "I got a gun" "Turn around!!!!! Im'a shoot you!" Can't really blame the guy for not wanting to turn around given those instructions.

I'm not surprised at the lack of riots, press coverage, etc. I am very surprised she has been returned to duty though. That's mind boggling. Even before the shooting she had done almost nothing in an appropriate manner.

The anti-RM player is due to it being discovered to spy on the user. It's 'supposedly' fixed, but somehow I think they just figured out how to code it more elusively.

I doubt this thing is over for the officer and more importantly the PD she works for (which I believe is the State Troopers so that's pretty big)....

They don't want to 'admit' she was guilty and thus basically hand their asses to the lawyer the victim is bound to retain.

They are probably planning damage control right now and I am willing to bet eventually she's pulled off the street and/or remediated through classes.

The bad part about this is if she is unstable, she can potentially do this again and that happens...that's when damage control becomes the dirty bomb you thought was the 'money suitcase'.
