Just seen this tonight. A woman blowing leaves & grass into the street and into the open wondows pf passing cars. Like she could give a crap. Yes, passing cars less than 6 foot away, and she's blowing junk right into the passing cars windows.

BTW, they are great for cleaning the roof gutters of leaves and sticks. If you have a roof that you can walk on, use it to clean those gutters. Really works nice if your roof isnt too slanted to walk on.

Ja, well I suppose blowers were a natural "progression" after accepting mowers with engines/motors. I don't get that either unless the person is handicapable or such and so cannot physically operate a manual mower. Moreover, most lawns are silly anyway and should be replaced with low maintenance and low water demanding alternatives.

Yes it is. In fact, a portion of the taxes I pay to the city go towards street cleaners. Now, I wouldnt throw trash out in the street, but a few clippings that land on my driveway are biodegradeable and not picked up by my local trash hauler, so out in the street it goes.

Its the cycle of life, man...

I love it. I can go in for a beer, or even be grilling and turn the meat every few passes. No engine to restart.

yep! pisses me off. every freaking saturday i have to wake up to the horrible noise and smell of the blowers. Those things smell so bad - like unburnt gas, I dont know how the operators stand it. I guess that's just another example of jobs americans wont do, but mexicans will. Also they use the blower to blow grass off the parking lot. But in doing so, they blow rocks and pebbles right into the cars. Ive asked them many times not to use the blower around the cars as Ive been getting more rock chips ever since they started using them. But they still keep on doing it. I'm thinking of having a talk with the complex management about this.

There are few smells as wonderful in life as the smell of a 2 stroke engine. The sweet smell of 2 stroke oil burning with the fuel is one of God's greatest smells. I like it better than the smell of chocolate chip cookies or a good steak.

If you use the blower properly, there is no way it will blow pebbles big enough to scratch your paint, let alone leave dings or dents. Sounds like those asshats are holding it right close to the grass/sidewalk and blowing it full power. There is no need for that and it would piss me off also.
