ok to flirt?

So I was having this argument with my gf tonight. Evidently one of her friends was flirting with some random guy that IMed her. Her bf of course found out and got pissed off. However, neither my gf nor her friend think that she did anything wrong. What do you guys think? Personally, I think if you're in a relationship, you shouldn't be flirting around period. No matter how inconsequential it is. The kicker is that my gf knows it's wrong, but thinks it's ok for her to do it because she knows it means nothing to her. However, I asked her how she would feel if I did it to her and of course she said she'd be pissed off... What's the deal here? Why are women so irrational sometimes?

So you are trying to decide if she can or cannot flirt... actually, the only thing you can do is to tell her how you feel about it and let her make her own choices, if you cannot accept her choices... kiss her goodbye or continue in a miserable relationship...

As long as the flirting is not taken to extremes, I see no problem. When my hubby flirts I joke with him about it. I'd never be pissed off at him. That would make me a hypocrit.
