Dear lord, have a real woman come onto the forum and do one introductory post and it explodes in no time. It went from a barrel of TNT at first when she posted she was female to atomic bomb level when she posted pics.

In any case Adica welcome to the forums, you'll soon get used to the various uhhhhh personalities on this forum. There are folks that are helpful, there are folks that are funny, folks that get owned on a regular basis and then there are the others.....we won't talk about the others though. In any case enjoy your time here and don't let anybody talk you into nude pics 😉

I think it's not that people are actually this sexually repressed... but that it's expected of us to act this way, and by reading posts that adhere to this expectation, we believe that it's accepted, and even encouraged, to do it. My 2 cents as the unofficial psycholisopher.

She just got her first computer a few months ago and didn't even know what a forum was as of maybe a month ago. Yes, there's certainly some truth to that.

Another part of it is that the forum is mostly men, and men think that it's funny to conform to stereotypes. If you tell a woman a joke about how women should be in the kitchen, they'll get insulted. If you tell a man a joke about how all they do is sit on the couch, drink beer and watch TV, they'll laugh heartily and start doing it.

Just look at beer commercials...half the popular/funny beer commercials have men acting totally stereotypically. That would NEVER fly if they were trying to sell to women.

That was posted somewhere yea. It was suggested that she should update the thread title with *NOW WITH PICS* or something, but decided against it because she's not one for excessive attention and didn't want to create the wrong impression, being so new and all.

hey Mojoed, why did your mother do that? that is a pretty messed up thing to do. can't say as i have EVER heard of a mother giving a daughter maxi-pads for her birthday to be opened in front of her friends. 😕
