LOL. Ok... You got me. I'm lying. Busted! I didn't really just price out the tickets, contemplate taking my wife with me and then settled on sending myself via 1st Class. Yeah... Shens on me!

You spent a $5k+ on a first class ticket to Asia? Paid first or business class is not cheap to Asia.

Where'd you find first/business tickets to Asia for $1500?

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about! I had a very cheap business fair just to Europe and it was 2000 a ticket. Asia is even more (depending on where).

I, too, would like to know how you got such a cheap 1st ticket, or are you in 1st just on the domestic legs?

Anyway, buy some noise canceling headphones, bring a couple of books, bring a change of more relaxing clothes and then enjoy. Change after you have been in the air a bit, throw on your headphones, and settle down and read or watch TV.

Ya really, are you sure you aren't in first on just the MIA-LAX leg? There's a lot of paid first / business class traffic to Asia so cheap fares are nonexistant, even through consolidators.

I flew San Francisco to Bangkok via Tapei for $799 (was $699 from Los Angeles). That was in October. Flying Los Angeles to Bangkok via Tapei in December cost about $1100 iirc. That's all coach prices. That's all with a student discount.

If you can find first class tickets to Asia for $1500 then please share the secret. I'd love to know. PM me.

Travel agent. Maybe because they were bought so far in advance? Dunno. I just know that's the price because I was warned that's how much I would lose if I didn't get my passport in time (what a mission that is!) and there was the option of flying myself and my wife coach for the same price.

And I guess it's not 1st Class. I thought because of the reclining seats it was 1st (I've flown AA and NWA 1st class and the seats still weren't as nice.) but it's what they call "Mandarin Class" ??? I don't care as long as the seat's comfy and I have movies (the LCD pulls out of the arm rest. That's better than Song and JetBlue, that's for sure.) But the website says nothing about Internet. I guess I'll find out when I get there. Worst case scenario: Sleep so much that I'm not jet lagged. :)

Let's see a screenshot of your e-ticket, or confirmation e-mail (you can blackout your name etc.) I highly doubt you were able to get a business class seat to Taiwan for $1500.

LOL! I don't have an e-Ticket. Just a confirmation from the agent. I don't do EVERYTHING online. :p

Besides, I don't need to increase my e-Penis by proving how much I paid for an airline ticket. :D I was just wondering what kind of amenities I should expect.

Tell you what... if there's Internet access, I'll post in here from the plane. ;)
