How many people actually know what is what. We have almost lost the line where we say, hey I want to buy this software, unless it is something we really liked and it is resonably priced we think nothing more than downoading what we want. And music we will collect hundreds upon thousands a peice and never think much about it. And it is becoming a power struggle, the poeple want freedom and sharing, but companies want copyrights, well it will be intersting to see what kind of comprimises are made.

Well I once came upon these pirates at the local port. They were selling all their booty. They had gold, gems, and strangely enough computer software. It was all really old software for the Apple II computers so I wasn't interested. I guess they had been out at sea for a really long time or they had boarded Steve Jobs boat and pillaged it.

Thinking about it, the ONLY not Free/Open Source program that I have installed is the distributed.net client, for which only partial source code is offered.

I didn't like the OEM bundled version of Nero that came with my Lite-On CDRW...so I helped myself to the full version. I figured it was a sort of compromise; I met aHead half-way.

what was the difference between your oem and full version? i got an OEM version when i got my AOpen 24x cdrw, updated to the latest version off of Ahead's website. doesn't seem crippled at all.

Well there was one little "bug" in the OEM version I got that seemed to only crop up when I tried to use it with my Sony recorder. haha
