I have my friends at the JDRF working on that. It won't let you contribute if you live outside the US. If you would like to donate and live outside the US, please feel free to PM me and I will send you my address. I will take those donations with us to the walk and donate them there.

My close friend has had type one since she was 8 (she is 25 now).

I don't want to sound unsympathetic to your sons pain, but Diabetes isn't the "end all" your making it out to be.

Yes, she has to check her blood often, yes, she has to monitor her food, yes, she CAN get drunk... There is care within reason..rather than complain about the horrid pain, unfairness, and suffering, why don't you focus on managing his condition?

You realize that within there next, oh, lets say 10 years, there will probably be a cure for it...Medical Technology is exponential. If not Stem Cell then at least a transplant is in order.

I've read this entire thread & I don't see where RudeGuy does, as you say "complain about the horrid pain, unfairness, and suffering". Also, I think it would be fair to say that kids who have to get stuck by needles multiples times each day are "suffering". And how do you know that he isn't focusing on managing his son's condition?

As a matter of fact, it seems very proactive to me that Rudeguy is involved in this Walk for Diabetes.

And I hope you're right about their soon finding a cure for this disease. By the way, isn't that what they said about finding a cure for AIDS?
