No agenda. I just call it like I see it and have a track record 10 years strong. What about you?

Hmmmm today so far oil up over $3

8-13-2008 Stocks tumble on retail sales report, rise in oil

NEW YORK - Wall Street tumbled for a second session Wednesday after a government report on retail sales and a jump in oil prices raised investors' concerns about consumers' ability to spend and feed economic growth. The Dow Jones industrial average fell about 175 points, bringing its two-day decline to more than 300.

Your track record is that you are consistently wrong. You originally claimed that gas would be $5 a gallon by Christmas of 2006, it might have hit that in a few areas recently, but it is nowhere near the norm. Only off by about 2 years...

Anyways, oil is not up over $3 today, stop lying.

Edit - Not to say that it won't hit +$3 by the end of the day, but as of right now, it is not up OVER $3, and even in your article it said that it was up $2.81. Am I missing something here?

And what exactly does that record say? How accurate would you say your predictions are overall? 60%? 95%?

up $.59 this moment.

To be fair...

Nymex crude future is up 3.76

But at the time of his post it was not up that high, looks like he's been caught lying again. Must be that track record that he's been talking about.

Bloomberg has about a 30-40 minute delay. CNN Money is closer to real time and shows +.59 right now.

Though, it did reach $3.76 before falling apparently.

edit: Looks like CNN Money was the one behind actually. It is now at +$3.99.

I've commented for a couple of months now how the Fishkill NJ refineries have been idle.

The gas storage tanks are nearly at the bottom.

They are creating an artificial "shortage" that I am sure Oil Company P&Ners will rejoice in.

8-13-2008Oil jumps $3 after US gasoline supplies drop

"There's no doubt that refiners are making less gasoline," said Phil Flynn, analyst at Alaron Trading Corp. in Chicago. "The demand is bad so why store a product that you're going to have trouble selling?"

Watching NBC news right now, saw that the US dropped 4.7% in mileage in June with 12.2 BILLION fewer miles than this same time last year. Was down in every part of the country, with California leading the way at 8.2% down.

CNBC stated inventories of refined products are falling because refineries are shutting down lines because they can't sell the product and also the start of change over to the winter driving blend of gasoline. Not sure why lower production of gasoline in the US (causing a drop in supplies) causes oil to spike....?

This thread is only updated when oil prices skyrocket. He claims he has no agenda, but when you look at this thread, you'll see that it's not true. Oil goes down like $30 and the title is never updated once. It goes up ONCE and the title gets updated. It continues it's slide down and the thread doesn't get updated again.

Interesting since oil was $140

115=140 for your math? :confused:

Oh whoopie it fell 99 cents today

8-14-2008 Oil?s Fall and Bargain-Hunting Help Market Rebound

Wall Street rebounded on Thursday, rising sharply as oil prices fell and investors took advantage of bargains in financial stocks after two days of heavy declines.

Crude oil backtracked as traders who sent oil soaring Wednesday in response to declining gasoline supplies realized that demand for fuel was still falling.

Light crude fell 99 cents to settle at $115.01 a barrel

This article is short on meat.

Ayone know exactly what was falsified?

8-14-2008 Report on oil prices is flawed, senators say

Democratic lawmakers criticize a recent Commodity Futures Trading Commission report downplaying speculators' role in high oil prices.

Democratic senators say a government report issued last month on oil prices was based on flawed information. They're asking for an investigation into the matter.

In a letter Thursday to the inspector general of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, four senators criticized an interim study that said fundamental supply-and-demand factors were to blame for the run-up in oil prices. The study played down the role of speculation.

The senators said the study was based on inaccurate data and they questioned the timing of its release.

The study was issued a few days before the Senate voted not to move forward on legislation that would have required the commission to set limits on trading in oil markets by investors and speculators

Dropped to some stations as low as $3.61 (lowest I saw here) in the last last week and now that same station is back to $3.89 today.

But we will still have the oil apologists insisting gas is going down.

I filled it up at 3.89 today. Where is Queasey to explain to us why gas nearly a month later is more expensive at $115 than when it was $130 barrel?
