I use a 250ml bottle that came with gourmet virgin olive oil IIRC, I can barely read the label now. It has a no-drip plastic spout-type affair on top.
I use it to pour small amounts of oil, typically on a griddle or frying pan, or for recipes. The plastic pour spout comes off easily for when I refill the bottle with olive oil, which I buy in bulk at Costco.
I keep this small bottle on a jar top because sometimes some oil does drip down the side and I don't want oil on the shelf I keep it on. When I pick up the bottle, I include the jar-coaster affair, it's a very simple matter. Once in a while, I clean off the jar top and bottle, as needed, but that's infrequent. The pour spout is such that I always hold the bottle the same way so if a little dribbles down the bottle it's never where I grab it with my hand. This whole affair has worked very well for me for many years, I feel no need to "upgrade."
