I hope big oil passes on the savings on to us. Cause if it were the other way around, you can bet dollars to donuts that we'd bail them out. /sarcasm

i dunno what part of your post the sarcasm tag applies to, but when it WAS the other way around about a decade ago we didn't bail them out.

The price is higher than the people are willing to pay, so demand should go down, and supply should increase. Now the Iranians are going fire more rockets to keep the price of oil up.

I'm not starting the celebration just yet, the first storm announced that will hit the gulf will probably make the price shoot up. They're just waiting for an excuse.

And yet I still haven't seen gas prices drop. No doubt if it goes up by 5 dollars Ill see the prices spike up from their current position.

Double fixed.

Are you buying the "you own part of an oil company" line they're feeding you?

Sure, there's bound to be a portion of a mixed fund tied up in oil - but I'd rather see the oil cos take a little beating and the rest of the mixed stocks have a breather from fuel costs.

That always takes time. Unfortunately, when the price goes up for oil, gas prices go up immediately.

don't hold your breath

Get the stick out of Reid and Pelosi's collective arse over Off-Shore oil exploration and Oil Shale and watch the price plummet.

Because they have to use the gas they have in their tanks to pay for the next gas delivery at a higher price...

Try hard as I might, I don't feel bad for them. Their retirement fund might go up with the price of oil, but the cost of living would go up as well.

Everybody wants cheap energy, just don't drill in their own backyard, or beaches. So we should drill in Alaska and dig in Canada, nobody lives up there.

Iran kinda helped this out though with their discovery they had a few weeks ago...that and drilling is ramping up in controlled parts of Iraq (with American companies allowed in now)

Although this kinda sucks where im from...in Alberta $140 oil keeps people in jobs, i dont know whats going to happen here if it keeps dropping.

I bet everyone here gas will stay above $4/gallon even with oil dropping.

Isn't the price now for contracts that won't come due until August? Won't we see the effects of this then, assuming oil doesn't make another dramatic increase in the next several days?
