Will anyone go to jail for this "biggest bubble scam in the history of humanity"?

Why would anyone have to go to jail over a bubble? People speculate on the price of stuff on the markets. They can make money, they can also lose lots of money. If this is indeed a bubble, then a lot of big hedge funds are poised to lose a lot of money.

I think some are claiming that certain firms are "gaming the system", similar to how Enron caused the false "California energy crisis" in order to make a profit.

How about it is only dropping to gain some momentum for five bucks a gallon. Gas is $3.97 at near by gas stating.

I still don't get it. If there are illegal things being done to drive the bubble, then sure, they could (and should) see some jail time... but I haven't seen anything to indicate that. What I've seen is a frenzy of large investors jumping on the oil futures to make some big money, pushing up the prices. Eventually that price has to come back down, and those speculators would lose money. What's the illegal part?

NORTH NEW JERSEY FTW.

$3.72/gal for regular in Akron, OH.

Me>you :)

3.67 in central MN. It's sad to think how they have everyone thinking that 3.67 is cheap now. :(

I won't be happy until it gets <$2.50 though. Those bitches won't fool me into smiling while paying 3.50/gal cause I think it's cheap.
