ohio law code challange

heard a rumor that there was a new law that went into effect on 7-1-08 that said you can only use a bluetooth headset while driving. AKA no holding a phone to your ear. I looked at the ohio law site and couldn't find anything about it. Am I missing it or did this bullshit actually get passed?

only slightly less dumb than doing anything other than driving while on the road. You are in control of a 2 ton hunk of metal at high speeds (compared to walking). Driving deserves your respect and full attention. You can wait to find out what color panties your dial-a-wank is wearing.

I am sorry but no i can't wait. That is one reason why i am currently violating the law. I don't like the headset, so basically will take a chances that i will get $20 ticket which is no big deal.

Do you enjoy getting trashed and driving too? Statistically, you have the same chance of getting in a wreck talking on the phone as you would driving drunk. You deserve to DIAF the same as the drunks.

Never driven drunk, to be exact i rarely ever drink. I have no problem controlling my car while talking on the phone and no i don't slow down like most people.

Funny, I bet most drunk drivers say the same thing. Otherwise they wouldn't be driving.

Let me rephrase it for you. I never drive while under influence of alcohol of any level period.

We had this discussion in critical thinking last semester, it was great. This thread will go on forever if it's anything like class was...

Hell I text while I'm driving. But only at red lights 😛

I don't see a problem with talking on the phone while driving - it's not like my other hand is doing anything anyway. If something happens and I need to drop my phone and react, well then I'll do so. I also have no problem telling someone to hang on for a bit while I'm driving if I'm going through something which requires extra attention.

I bet you people in CA will still talk on their cells while driving. Stubborn as shit and they wonder why accidents happen to them 😕

Do you drive while tired?

And this is why they should take licenses away for anyone caught violating this law.

The first day, there was a blurb on the news that a lady was talking on the phone while stopped next to a police car.

She claimed she had no idea about the law.
Ignoring the fact that it was all over the news for 2-3 weeks, etc.

The kicker was she was stopped just under a Variable Message Sign stating that the law was in effect. (which also have been warning for the past 2-3 weeks of the new law).
