It's a wash, though, because the Democrats are moderate compared to, say, any socialist country in the world.
Which of course explains China's steadfast support for LGBT rights... oh wait.

I get the idea... dunno about the merits of arguing about it though.
Essentially, he's saying the Republicans are moderate cause there's no equivalent of Hitler running around championing the wholesale slaughter of the undesirables.
My same-sex agenda doesn't depend upon portraying the Republican party as extremist. It depends on portraying them (quite correctly) as the party still under the iron grip of idiotic social conservatives and evangelicals whose opinions on GLBT issues are long since past their expiration date.
You do realize that your OP demonstrates that opposition to LGBT "rights" has nothing to do with Christianity right?

Eh, if we're talking about just this one issue - how much further "left" can we go after full equality?

China is not a socialist country.
The People's Republic of China, along with Vietnam, Laos, and Cuba, is one of the world's four remaining official socialist states espousing communism.
Obviously because a Transsexual Parade would simply be a couple freaks walking through town. To achieve societal change one needs the perception of being a significant and productive part of society, and depending on whose numbers you accept homosexuals make up 1% to 10% of our population. That's a demographic worth courting, if only for shopping and campaign contributions. Transsexuals simply aren't, so it makes sense for them to hitch their wagon to the most mainstream group willing to have them.I'm curious as to why the Transsexuals attached their movement to the homosexual movement.

The better question is why homosexuals let transsexuals attach to their movement.
