Obviously because a Transsexual Parade would simply be a couple freaks walking through town. To achieve societal change one needs the perception of being a significant and productive part of society, and depending on whose numbers you accept homosexuals make up 1% to 10% of our population. That's a demographic worth courting, if only for shopping and campaign contributions. Transsexuals simply aren't, so it makes sense for them to hitch their wagon to the most mainstream group willing to have them.
