So in Indiana, like in many other states, you can get a special license plate by donating to certain causes. I know in NC you can get a really nice Blue Ridge Parkway plate and another popular one for Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Well, one of the Indiana plates is an "Environment" plate with an eagle, like so.

Well this driver either has a great sense of humor or is a complete moron. You be the judge.

While the hummer might be a bit of an extreme example, the principal is pretty much the same on any car that runs on gasoline, no? How many miles per gallon does the car have to get before the environmental plate is allowed? How about a 25mpg cutoff?

No, the OP explained it. It's an environmental plate, meaning he contributed to the environment, or whatever, but he's driving a hummer.

Well, I got the point of an environmental supporter plate on a Hummer.

But, I noticed the plate "DU9806" could also be "Dubya, 98-06" as in our President, 1998-2006. Or something like that.

BTW, as a side note, just b/c you drive a big, gas guzzling tank doesn't mean you don't donate enough of your income to tax deductible organizations and your accountant claims it for you, so you are now an environmentalist. You know; just like 95% of the "environmentalists" out there. :p

I was totally out mud-bogging over some endangered swamp area and was like, s***! This place is awesome! We need to protect this place! As I was winching out of a mudhole using a Cypress sapling (Thing broke so I had to use another one. It was a larger cypress so I only took off the bark, making it leak alot but it should be fine). Anyways I used my winch to get out of there and while waiting on it I thought to myself, "I know! I can donate to that environment thing and help protect our habitats! I then enjoyed gunning it out of there using various furry creatures as planks to help my Hummer get traction. Dam I love my truck! :D

If you drive twice as many miles as he does annually, you both use the same amount of fuel. Since people who can afford Hummers, can probably afford homes closer to work, this isn't the least bit inconceivable at all!
