See what you've down?

PSA - All southerners do not live in trailer parks, oppress minorities, nail their sisters, or buy beer for their boozehound granddads. Many of us are highly educated, and we would like nothing better than to sell our lesser neighbors to meat packing plants to be fed to prisoners.

j/k on the last part.

I clicked on it, and now I regret it.

But it's like the feeling you get from visiting rotten.com

Yeah hes hard to deal with. But hes been around when no one else was. It'd be hard to admit him to a nursing home or something. God, I don't know what the hell to do. I guess I'll just tell my uncle, my uncle hates the fact he does crap like this. He went to my grandmothers funeral drunk.

Bah, that's not a southern thing (although that is the stereotype for sure), it's directly proportional to distance from the nearest large city. I'm about an hour north of NYC and while it's fine here, there are areas no more than 30-60 minutes north of me where everyone's related. My stepsisters were born & raised about an hour north of here and one requirement of a HS diploma was 2 years of agriculture; learning about cows and farming and such :Q

All you people that are bagging on the OP must not have ever had a true alcoholic in your family or been friends with one.

They are unreasonable, and they don't recognize that they have a problem. The man has an illness and for you to say that it's a southern thing shows your ignorance. Alcoholism is everywhere and it's very sad and has far reaching consequences for the family of an alcoholic.

I had a neighbor that easily drank a case of Busch every single day, sometimes more. He was fun to hang with sometimes, but the things he did simply are/were unimaginable. It's a very sad situation, and you most certainly cannot judge the OP for his Grandpa's actions.

OTOH, I did laugh at the story though.

Very well put, the armchair judges can be ignored since well, they're ignorant.
