But in the context of what he immediately said prior, combined with his record of being accused of groping women, makes it look pretty much like an admittance of sexual assault. Whether it really was or wasn't, it's no surprise that this would be the nail in the coffin.

No, in high school I did not once say anything remotely like "I would love to slap her on the ass". That just wasn't me. I'm heterosexual and I was fully sexually aware in high school but I did not chat like that with the guys, I've always thought it gross to do so and demeaning to women, who I have always respected.
