woot!! Now Boston's 25-0 win tomorrow at least won't win them the series. And please, TP, don't suggest Manny or Pedro in a NYY uniform again. Ever again ;)

I really wasn't expecting the slide until after the all star break, but, they seem to be ahead of schedule this year. Well, perhaps that'll allow for a exciting end of season wildcard race... as usual.

/RedSox Fan, simply a realistic one.

It's amazing what a crappy bunch of gutless wonders $130 million buys. You'd think they'd be willing to spend an extra seven dollars a year to sign somebody that can catch the ball.

I'll let the Skankees fans talk all their sh!t now, just like we did when we swept your asses earlier in the season. Let the Yankees peak now, because it'll be all downhill from there. It's a long, long way until October boys, and thus far you've been lucky that you've had no major injuries to any of your 20 all-stars on your team. But, I'll be happy to see Quantrill, Gordon, and Rivera as 1-2-3 in most appearences. Burn them out for the October stretch run and the playoffs.
I'm actually disgusted with the way the Sox have been playing like a bunch of little leaguers. Errors, and men left on base = deserving to be 7 1/2 games back. Epstein better pull something out of his ass before July 31, or this is going to be a long, long end of summer. They need a spark to light the fire. Fire Francona? Who will they replace him with? I'd love to get Jimy Williams back, but the Stros won't fire a manager on the All Star team, in their home city, until after the break.

ROFLMAO!! At least make your pathetic loser excuses somewhat believable. You don't want to see them in any games because:
1) If they're in, the Yanks are winning
2) They're not going to burn themselves out by mowing down the Red Sux 1-2-3 in every inning. Gee, Gordon really messed up tonight. In pitching a perfect 8th he only struck out 2 of the 3 hitter he faced, one actually got the bat on the ball. Too bad the same cannot be said for the 3 *hitters* who flailed futilely against Rivera.
3) Stretch run? Stretch run? That's the funniest thing of all, there's not going to be a stretch run because to have a stretch run there needs to be a team capable of keeping it close. The Sox are a hell of a lot closer to challenging Toronto and Baltimore for division doormat status than they are to challenging the Yankees. What exactly in the Sox record in May and June? Did they even play .500 ball?

Erm, ok opinions aside, they're winning and have been for a while now. They have the best record in the majors (by a long shot), they won last year's ALCS, they won the last two games vs. Boston, and they've been a contending team for a decade now, after an ever-so-short break called the 80s ;) Call them other names if you like, but "losers" is completely inaccurate.

Don't make them even more upset, they'll start whining about the payroll.

Flagpoles were erected on the Fenway Park roof to hold all of the team's future
World Series pennants. They have since rusted and been taken down.

ROFL~!!!

To be fair to Ortiz though, as far as I could tell from that replay, he really did have an equipment malfunction. Can't help but think it was the Babe ;) Not to say their feilding hasn't been horrendous; it certainly has. What's Nomaaaah have so far this series, 3 errors? :Q

Yeah, Like I said before, when Reese starts dropping balls, you know the Babe is doing his thing.
