Steal #8? It looked like he landed out-of-bounds after he passed the ball in.

Sometimes Ty Lawson looks like he can just do whatever he wants. That was a beautiful drive to the basket.

This game is the perfect championship game for this tournament -- it's tantalizingly close to being interesting, but ultimately falls short.

UNC has a lot of white boys, it's like they stole a bunch of ivy league players to warm their benches.

Look at that - the preseason #1 won the championship!

Big ups to MSU - Izzo coached his heart out but his players just came up short.

as he went to jump up and throw the ball in his foot was already out of bounds... i watched it 3 or 4 times and it was obvious.

Roy gets his second title, but he's got some serious rebuilding to do now!

He still has the #1 recruiting class coming in (4 Mcdonald All Americans) and will have Ed Davis / Thompson / Zeller inside. Ginyard will get a redshirt and Larry Drew will be a year older, still a ton of talent.

Reloading would have been a better choice. Lawson, Ellington, Green and Hansbrough are going to be missed (assuming Lawson goes; he is a junior, but the NBA awaits).

Shots weren't falling tonight for MSU when they finally started playing and not turning the ball over ever possession. Good tournament by the Heels.

I suppose there's no reason to stay once you win the title.

That said, none of those players look like they have much in the way of NBA potential, IMO.

i'm just happy for hansbrough. for 4 years all he's wanted is a ncaa title. screw the acc titles, or the 4-0 at cameron, or the acc all-time scoring record...this man has his championship!

thank you UNC for an excellent bday present

I see you cannot resist display your appalling ignorance here, as you so frequently do in P&N.

I think Lawson could be an all-star PG, Ellington has potential (great shooter and can drive to the basket), Green / Hansbrough not so much.

This was the most anti-climactic suckage-filled March Madness I've ever seen.

Great moments were way too few and far between.

But to stay on discussion...Lawson and Ellington are soooo gone its not even funny. They stayed to win a championship, now its time to hand the team over to the new crop and go for the big money.

I really enjoyed the tournament this yearm, until the Final Four and Championship anyway. I thought the level of play was pretty decent and that Villanova-Pitt game was epic!

Great game. There was definitely a lot to impress, but unfortunately not enough unpredictability.

Villanova, Lawson, Cleveland State, Western Kentucky, Ben Woodside in a losing effort against kansas in the first round, to name a few exciting memories.

zzzzzzzzzzzz... WTF did I just watch? Am I watching high school basketball? Christ, it was torture to watch the final four this year. Terrible defense (interior defense is nonexistent, waaay too many one-man entries, terrible executions, terrible finishers, sloppy games, etc..)

It looked like a street game. defense moving with the ball? wat? off-ball movement was nonexistent.

This year was rather bad :(.

But anyways congrats to UNC in a great year and championship.

I think MSU played great team ball up until last night, where they couldn't get any separation against UNC so their offense crumbled. UNC is so talented on offense as well that they made MSU look like swiss cheese all night.
