I would much rather Memphis play Marquette than MO.

Nevertheless, bring 'em on.

Upsets 3/22: 0
Upsets 3/21: 0 (unless you count #5 Purdue beating #4 Washington 76-74)

Sucks.

Meh, I don't care so much about upsets, I just enjoy watching good games and there were some great games today.

I enjoy watching good games too, but nothing rivals shocking upsets. That's what makes this tourney great. Aside from upsets, I love to see how well some of these smaller schools are coached, even if they don't win.

At this point, only 2 of 16 teams seeded >4 remain in the tourney:

5: Purdue
12: Arizona

Yeah why the hell has the tournament become so chalked up the past couple years? It's like they changed some big rule or something to disadvantage all the Cinderella "little guy" teams. But, as to my knowledge nothing like that happened...just a coincidence the past couple years have been virtually upset-free I suppose.

Zona could take down Louisville, but that's pretty much the only real upset possibility left. When you have two first round NBA picks on your team (Hill and Budinger) you have a chance to beat anyone. Arizona has played great in the tourney so far, never trailing at any point. They will likely get behind against Louisville though, so I just hope they don't panic and remember what to do.

Last year had some awesome moments, ie with Stephen Curry and Davidson taking out Gonzaga, then Georgetown, then Wisconsin, before losing to Kansas by 2 (with an unsuccessful shot to win at the buzzer) in the elite 8. They didn't even make it this year tho.

Can't beat the cinderella run in 2006 with Jai Lewis leading George Mason to the final four, that was great.

Arizona played a really good #1 seeded team in the tournament named Kentucky back in 1997.
Who was the coach of that Kentucky team?
One Mr. Rick Patino
And then they went on to defeat 2 more number one seeds as well...

I'm just saying...

Oh and that team only had 3 players that have proven to be NBA stars (Simon, Terry, Bibby).

Oh and that team defeated God (Shamgod)

Zona beat Kentucky in the Championship game (in overtime none the less...always got to tug on my heart strings...why can't Zona ever blow out other teams), it was before that they beat 2 other number one seeds. I'm sure Rick Pitino hasn't forgotten :D

So, my ultimate Dream scenario is of course Arizona winning the title again, but it ain't going to happen.

Second dream scenario is Pitino comes to coach at UofA next year :p - Don't think he would want to leave though...probably nor would the Memphis coach, or Pitt coach.

Now we'll see how Memphis handles Missouri's Forty Minutes of Hell defense. No one else in the NCAA presses like Mizzou.

I'm a UL Cards fan and we press on every inbound. Should be fun to watch.

As far as no one else presses in the NCAA like Mizzou? Watch the Louisville Cardinals.

It's a double edge sword though - the way to beat a pressing team is to run a full court press. It's counter-intuitive.

I haven't watched missouri at all this year but if they press as hard as you say that will really mess with Memphis' game.

I've watched both teams this year, and IMHO Missouri's press is even more relentless than the Cardinals'.

edit: CBS just switched me to Duke-Villanova. Time to fire up MMOD...

If that is the case then I really don't want to play you guys. Good luck.
