hrmm, i wanted to beat enchanted arms before i started playing TDU. ive played 26 hours into it so far.. im hoping to finish it up by next weekend. damn game is addicting, but tiresome at some points.. the voice acting sucks.

Too bad they couldn't map every road in Oahu; we're probably a generation or two off from full street leel maps in racing games.

So how crappy is the 360 without an HDTV??? I just have a 27" flat screen phillips 4:3. Would all the games look like crap on it (like the text in Dead Rising, although some people say it's plenty readable while others say it's completely not readable), or would they still look good? I could also hook it up to my Hyundai L90D+ but would like to sit in my recliner to play rather than in front of my computer, otherwise I'd just play on my PC.

EDIT: Typos

I'm only about 20% in. I haven't been able to play in a couple of days though and I may be returning it to Blockbuster on Saturday for Star Wars Legos II or Test Drive Unlimited.

Enchanted Arms is a fun game though. I like the golems. Has the most annoying gay character in the history of mankind though.

I freakin bought Top Spin II cause I love tennis (play 5 times a week), but guess what, its a piece of crap. What was I thinking... grrr.

It's meant to be run on a HDTV really. And in particular with Dead Rising that is a known problem on SD TV's.

XBStream 1.0 released

Hello everyone,

Thank you for visiting xbstream.com. Today I am releasing the XB Stream software to the public. XB Stream in a nut shell is an RSS/XML feed reader/aggregator that works with the XBox 360 video game console. XB Stream allows you to view xml based content feeds (xml, rss, rdf) on your Xbox 360 video game console; you can also listen to podcasts and blogcasts as well. XB Stream automatically downloads and converts text based content feeds into images that can be viewed from the media>pictures>computer blade and hear audio podcasts/blogcasts from the media>music>computer blade. Content feeds are automatically managed by the software so you are always given fresh feeds, and older feeds are automatically deleted. Audio feeds show up as playlists and can be listened to while playing your favorite games! Below are all of the features of XB Stream:

- Full support for all versions of Windows XP (Home, Professional, Media Center) & Windows Vista
- Full support for Windows Media Connect, and Windows Media Player 11 (or higher)
- Built in wizards to automatically configure with WMC and WMP 11 (or higher)
- Automatically downloads text based xml feeds and converts to images
- Automatically downloads and builds playlists for audio podcasts and blogcasts
- Automatically deletes and manages old content feeds, allowing you to set the max number of feed items to retain
- Simulates the Xbox 360 dashboard look onto rendered text content feeds
- Downloads and renders content feeds with all images, and html formatting
- Automatically breaks up large content feeds onto multiple pages
- Easily add/remove and manage content feeds with the intuitive XB Stream feed manager
- Supports outputting images in both widescreen and standard definition format.
- Choose the frequency of how often content feeds should download and update - 15, 30 minutes, 1, 4 hours, 1 day, 1 week, or choose manual updates
- Runs as a Windows NT service, allowing feeds to be downloaded to the Xbox 360 without anyone logging into the computer
- Log-off the computer and content feed updates will still download and process themselves
- Comes included with several text and audio content feeds from the best of the Xbox 360 community sites
- Built just for the Xbox 360 video game console, and best of all it?s completely FREE!

Well i just beat dead rising....got ending A. Game was awesome, and I will play it over and over again!

I gotta say, ive been VERY happy with the Xbox 360. Xbox live is just too cool!

Although my xbox died once already, it has still been my favorite video game system in a long long time(besides the SNES)

It looks like Dead Rising and Saint's Row are the most popular rentals right now (at least in my area). Dead Rising hasn't been available in Blockbuster since it was released. Saint's Row has about 5 more copies but is always out as well.

I ended up renting Lego Star Wars II for my son and I to play together. First words out of his mouth this morning were to ask me if he could play it again today. Told him he would have to wait until I got home from work.

I just picked up Dead Rising and am enjoying it. I'll share my thoughts on it in a week or so.

Are you all enjoying Lego Star Wars and/or NHL 07? I've been looking for a good hockey game for quite awhile and the shootout demo plays/looks pretty well.

Queasy, have you used that stream program you mentioned a few posts up? Can you give me an example of what I would want to use it for? I've never been into RSS but maybe I need to be. 😛

One other thing. Does anyone know when we can expect to see Tiger Woods 07 and if it will actually be worth buying this year?

October 17th, the same day the new Splinter Cell comes out.
