Did you enjoy the demos? I thought both of them were just absolutely horrible.

Great concept, horrible execution.

well every review on it so far says they demo didnt do the game justice..
and i liked the second demo concept but there wasnt much to do.. they are saying there is ALOT more to do in the final game and that not all the bikes are as horrid as the ZX10 was..

ive been surfing pretty much every game board out there at work these days and every person that gets it is in love with it..

I need some help with Saints Row.

The Carnales mission where I have to drive/run away from Victor. Any tips? I keep getting blown up by the gang.

hrmm, i have enough money to blow to get a new game, im debating on TDU vs Forza 2. but since forza 2 got delayed.. i may have to get my fix with TDU.

I used the Mag (the yellow truck you get when you beat the Vice Kings final mission) and victor never even TOUCHED me. His gang bumped me a few times but it's tough/fast enough that it was pretty easy to get away.I just parked the truck aiming straight at the ramp to get back on the highway, and as soon as the cut-scene went away I floored it.

I say just find a really tough car/truck if you haven't beat the vice king's missions yet, and make sure you have at least 3 homies with you to fire at the gang members chasing you.

Yeah... I used a cop car in previous attempts and could never shed Victor. I'm taking over one gang at a time and Los Carnales is my first, so no Mag.

However, this time I used my own hooked up Raycaster (with nitrous) and I lost him within seconds upon entering the highway. I completely smoked him.

Anyway, anyone know where I can buy a suit, dress shirt, and tie? I can't find it at Impressions or Branded.

Even though the second demo sucked, I missed the first not having a hard drive, the actual game is amazing. I've got roughly 8 hours into the game and I'm still loving the single player aspect. I just need to get cracking on the multiplayer section of it. For $40, you can't go wrong. I'm just lucky to have an amazing girlfriend who bought that and Saints Row for me.

I still have a pile of unplayed PS1, PS2 and PC games to work through, so I'm in no hurry for next-gens.

I'm more eager for Blu-ray since I'll be replacing my 9-year-old 4:3 JVC 32" with a widescreen HDTV soon.

And gameplay is more important to me than polygon count, I'm currently playing the Urban Chaos mod for the 1999 game Jagged Alliance 2. Next up is either Freedom Force on the PC or one of the Final Fantasy games on the PS2.

Nice. Freedom Force was fun and funny, good game all around.

I actually got TDU over the weekend, and I must say, the final game is like 100x better than the demo. The graphics are MMMUUUCCCHHH better than either of the demos. However the control and physics still feel very weird and are pretty crappy for a racing game. However I will defintely give this game some time because the whole idea and aspect of the game is just pretty cool. It's just fun to drive around Hawaii.

i wish a company had a replacement casing for the 360, something with better airflow and quiet high rpm fans. something that was.. 1 to 2 inchs taller/wide that had better fans and better airflow, that looked stock. id buy it! 360 gets too damn hot.

Open island driving. You can tool around the island and particpate in online races or single-player races. Completely different setup from previous racing games.

A GOOD Test Drive game?? wow! Yes, I'm sure the super old TD games back in the day were fine for the pc but most of the recent stuff for console were total poo. I hated the first demo but kinda liked the second demo of TDU. On top of that the price of the game is good and I'm really tempted to pick it up after I'm done with Saints Row and Dead Rising.

How is the online gaming aspect of it so far??

How long, in "Real life time" to drive across the entire island?

I'd say it takes about 45 minutes to drive around the island...

Only thing is - chances are you are doing 150+ while doing it, so... 🙂
