I figured I'd post that here incase someone is out of warranty and their 360 takes a dive. I expect I may have to do this at some point lol.

Crazy! Luckily my console is still on warranty and I'm picking up the extended warranty once I get my replacement. I got those exact same freezing/video problems from those pics. EXACTLY like that but no red rings of doom. No way I'm opening my 360 but its something to try if you are out of warranty (assuming you know your way around the innards).
It was pretty funny that my local UPS guy immediately knew what was in my box when I sent it out and said, "Man..I'm getting these xbox's left and right!" I should have asked him how many he gets in a given week.

Any idea if I should send in my 360 for repair? It's frozen twice on me, both times in GRAW. No artifacts, just a hard freeze. No red lights on the ring either. A simple reboot fixes it. I'm thinking I won't, because it's going to take forever, but should I risk it? My warranty ends @ the end of the month.

I would say no. Mine froze a few times in GRAW as well, I think it is a software problem and not a hardware problem. It never froze in any other game except that game. Well actually, it has froze in Oblivion too, but that for sure was a software problem because in some spots in Oblivion everyone's 360 freezes.
BTW, according to this article a Splinter Cell MultiPlayer demo will be up between now and September. Man, I hope so!

Do any of you know which of the arcade games actually get some action in online play? I know a lot of them have the options available but I don't want to spend the points if people don't really play them.
I plan to get Uno and probably Spades for online (assuming people play online) but G. Wars and Galaga will probably get my money as well. I'm definately buying SF tomorrow.

It has been the past month. Microsoft started a Wednesday rollout of new Live Arcade games, although I'm not sure how long it's supposed to last. I've heard that it will continue throughout 2006 till the end of the year, but that's a crapload of games we haven't heard about yet, so take that with a grain of salt.Originally posted by: TrueBlueLS

Uno always has people online it seems. The card games probably have the highest female participation of any Live-enabled game.![]()
Marble Blast Ultra and Cloning Clyde are good too.
I think the only ones that I've really had problems finding people to play with are the retro games like Gauntlet, Joust, and Frogger.

I just played the demo, and I couldn't agree more. It's an absolute knock-off of GTA, only with better graphics, and a couple of minor tweaks to make it different. Everything from the glowing circle/halos to invoke missions to how you jack a car, it's all the exact same. It's fun, though, and besides the blatant rip, the online modes seem fun as hell, and should provide a nice GTA fix until GTA4 hits late next year.Originally posted by: DonVito
I find Saints Row kind of fun, but it really is a ridiculously blatant ripoff of the GTA games. It's hard to give them much credit considering that it is essentially the exact same thing, but with worse handling on the cars (something I always thought was an underappreciated element of the GTA series).
