Don't let it get out that there are gamers who can enjoy a game regardless of it's generation. Oh and by the way, Jagged Alliance 1 and 2 are freaking awesome games. Hammer and Sickle comes out shortly and I am deffinitely looking forward to it in hopes that it can fill that void.

If I'm not mistaken, Sony (or maybe Polyphony Digital) doesn't want to pay EA royalties to use the license, and so refuses to pony up and put them in the game. Ferrari and Porsche are the biggest omissions, but there are so many great cars that they leave out only to put some of the crappy cars from that manufacturer in.

Meh, GT isn't evolving. Its just more of the same, and I have much more fun with the first three games. The 4th was just an amalgamation of them with a fresh new coat of paint. Not only that, but they really need to walk the line of fun versus reality. The first game doesn't feel realistic nor that fun now. The second was much more fun and arcadey but the realism suffered. The third retained the fun but added more realism. The fourth went too far into realism and lost some of the fun. I feel they're messing up with the off course stuff as well. For instance, it seems like they can't make up their mind if they want to make oil changes and things like that more common or just an afterthough. Either integrate it, or drop it, or better yet, make it an option.

The biggest change that needs to be made to GT though is in the AI department. Well that and they need more consistency in cars. I hate when they only put one car from some manufacturers that have a couple that are very cool, and then have 50 versions of other cars like the NSX (which isn't a bad car, but nearly all of them drive the same, so just have a few and make it so you can change the paint scheme and things).

Go to Best Buy or Circuit City and play some COD2. I'm not saying it looks just as good on the computer, but it looks absolutely beautiful on the Samsung HDTV they have setup and plays smooth as butter. The games are only going to get better looking and I don't have to keep upgrading it every other 6 months... I think Consoles have finally gotten to the point where I'm willing to give up on Computer gaming.

Curious, whens the last time you upgraded in 6 months? I don't think I've ever upgraded my PC in 6 months. My current PC is 3-4 years old.

I was totally hyped for GT4... Until they announced no online play. (No damage modeling hurt, as well... But it wasn't the killer.)

And if GT5 doesn't have online play, more manufactures licensed, and damage modeling... I couldn't care less about it.

Then you aren't playing the latest games, in all their wonderful glory.

But since it doesn't sound like you care about the leading edge gaming, then of course these things won't be of interest to you.

heh.. this Xbox will kill the average PC... Dual core CPU and a faster GPU than the top dog 7800/x800PE..
and it interfaces with WMC as an extender... so basically its like the old XBOX pre modded with XMC..
very cool.
its not just a game system its a mutimedia showcase to attach to Windows Media Center PCs to the living room without even having to have the PC in the living room anymore..

I can't wait to see what comes out of the xbox360 when they finally grasp the full potiential of it. Just look at what they did between halo and halo 2 for the xbox.

The media extender was also a big bonus for me.

GT = overrated
I'd rather play arcade style games instead of simulations.
