You should enjoy your Zune. I enjoyed mine up until I started having problems, i.e. I absolutely cannot get it to run on Vista. Unfortunately, a google search shows nobody else having the same problems as me, and Microsoft's support is so damned frustrating. Any email I send to them gets returned, and opening a new ticket and telling them what's going on only gets me back at the start of the line.....it's like they don't care that I already have a case number. All during of which I keep receiving emails from these people that say they haven't heard from me, so they're leaving the ticket open. Idiots.

Damn man that sucks. Hopefully I won't have to deal with MS support, sounds like fun! So all of your problems started when you switched to Vista? More than likely by the time I switch to vista they will have these problems fixed :D

It is on 70% riight now syncing, and has only been charging for about an hour, so I haven't had a chance to really play around with it yet. I've only got 13 GB of songs right now so plenty of room for growth :)

I really like the feel of it, though. I prefer it to my brother's 30 GB video iPod, partly why I went with the Zune.

Ya, my problems started with the switch to Vista. However, everyone else seems to be doing a-ok, as the software is compatible with Vista. It's something specific with my computer I think, though, because it continued to do the same thing even after a complete reformat and reinstall.

Do I have to do something special to get access to the Video Marketplace?

I can't see it anywhere, or get anything to show from my dashboard... am I doing something wrong?

Whenever I go to the video marketplace, there is always like a 5-10 second delay before it opens. not sure if that is what you are talking about...

What do you mean it doesn't show? do you see the option for it?

Shouldn't matter. Both gold and silver members have access to Video Marketplace.

Quake Wars coming to the 360

Santa Monica, CA - Feb. 13, 2007 - The war between the GDF and Strogg will soon be igniting on next-generation consoles as id Software and Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) today confirmed that Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars?, the team-based first person action title, and already one of the most anticipated new properties of 2007 is coming to next-gen platforms. In this epic multiplayer-focused game, players can choose to defend humanity as a part of the Global Defense Force (GDF) or destroy it as a merciless Strogg alien invader. Under the executive production of id Software, Nerve Software is developing Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars for the Xbox 360? video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, while Z-Axis is the developer for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system.

"We're pleased to be working with Nerve and Z-Axis to bring the highly-anticipated gameplay from Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars to the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 system," said Todd Hollenshead, CEO, id Software.

Winner of more than 15 awards in 2006 and already selected as one of the most anticipated new titles in 2007 by more than eight publications, Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is being developed for the Windows PC by Splash Damage - the Nerve Software and Z-Axis console versions will also feature strategic team play, persistent character promotions and online stats tracking. Players choose to battle as one of five unique classes in either the conventionally armed GDF army or the futuristic Strogg invasion force, each outfitted with specialist weapons and combat hardware. In this adrenaline pumping fight for survival, warring forces utilize a variety of different vehicles, deployable structures, and defense systems including quad-bikes, tanks, and alien walkers for epic ground assaults; or helicopters and anti-gravity ships to unleash airborne attacks. Throughout each battle, teams establish bases, deploy defense structures, artillery, radar, and advanced forward-command systems into enemy territory while constructing and demolishing obstacles to speed progress and gain a tactical advantage over the opponent. Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars features 16-player battles on the console systems, delivering the ultimate team-and objective-based multiplayer experience.

Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

I just don't see an option for it... When I go to the media blade or whatever, I can only do stuff from my PC's and stuff...

Anyone care to explain how to get into it? do I need to go to the LIVE marketplace?

Maybe it's not available for people in Canada?

That is probably your problem. Video Marketplace is not available outside of the USA yet due to licensing issues.

I wish I had Video Marketplace access (but I'm Canadian). I'd buy Battlestar Galactica episodes if they were available there in HD.

Battlestar Galactica is supposed to be coming to the Marketplace at some point. Don't know why it isn't there already.

That may be the downside. All retail copies definitely come with the Halo 3 beta invite and the Crackdown disc is required to play the beta.

I doubt you need the disc. From what I've heard, Crackdown simply comes with a code to access the download for the Halo 3 beta from XBL. I've been tempted to reserve Crackdown just to try it (and to goad my brother who likes Halo where I've never been a fan :laugh;).

You need the disc from everything I've seen. Pretty sure I was reading something off 1up the other day where MS confirmed the disc is required.

If you were planning on tossing Microsoft's upcoming supercop sim shortly after using the included Halo 3 Beta key, you'd best restrain your throwing arm. Shizzle Games has posted an image of Crackdown's included invite card -- it clearly lays out that the Halo 3 Beta code is both downloaded and launched via the game's main menu. With no dashboard option, you'll have to keep your Crackdown disc for as long as you want to take part in Bungie's practice run.

Link has a picture of the invite.

Sounds illogical :/. Only thing you may avoid that way is someone buying Crackdown, keeping Crackdown and selling the Halo 3 key.

Oh and am I reading this XBOX Rewards thing correctly... if I raise my Gamerscore 3 times by increments of 1500, I get Fusion Frenzy 2 for free? If so, I have about 10 XBOX 360 games that I haven't even played yet sitting on my shelf :Q.

That (and vice versa) is exactly what they are trying to prevent.

Odd - I don't recall any other titles where the different console ports were done by different developers. Can anyone remember another instance of that?

Per 1up

I just spoke to our friends at Microsoft about how the beta code will work - and the beta download will require the Crackdown disc to be in the system in order for it to work. It's not simply a piece of downloadable code.

The latest VirtuaTennis has two different devs working on it.
