Pyro went with magneto and mystique. You saw him in the helicopter at the end. It was pretty obvious he was thinking about changing sides.

The wolverine chick was Lady Deathstrike. Apparently she had Wolverines healing ability, hense the adimantium skeleton (no human could survive it, because basicly they cut you open at every point to insert the metal). I don't know if she was in the comics or not.

if i understood the procedure described in the movie correctly, they have to inject it in you while you are in HOT water, because once the metal starts to cool it can't be molded. that's what makes it soo amazingly painful to do. you can ONLY do the procedure on someone who has AMAZING healing ability, wolverine, deathstryke.

OH BTW, Sabre from the last movie, is he done for good?? that would suck. he was a big part of Xmen.

Now my own personal observations. The guy that played Wolverine was too tall and thin. i always pictured him shorter and swarthier. he should have been shorter than Jean Grey by a lot.

Rogue and Bobby (iceman) will be amazing characters. Bobby should have frozen the water coming from the dam and created an ice dam. he has the ability, but they chose to sacrifice Jean Grey instead, not a good choice.

it was too early to bring Pheonix into the picture.

Xmen is too complicated to explain in 2 movies.

as a movie it was pretty good, as Xmen it left some to be desired.

true ..

but you gotta condese decades of storylines and such into two hours .. hopefully a third will tell more.

I don't that Iceman is quite that strong yet to harness that much power to stop the water coming out of the dam.

that's what i assumed too.

although, didn't the water in the damn freeze for a bit before it busted open?

I don't think so. Besides, how could it? Rogue and Bobby were both in the jet.

No, you are not in hot water. Adamantium is fused to your bones, not through your blood system. It's merged with the bone. The liquid is just a suspended state. It's not necessarily "hot". Water evaporates into steam when it's hot.

Sabretooth is not gone, he should return. No reason to think otherwise.

Yes, Wolverine is WAY too tall. He's supposed to be only like 5'3".

Sabertooth will be back. what i didnt like is they didnt even mention the back history of Logan and sabertooth.

iceman is to weak now to try and freeze the damn. But i cant wait to see where they take him and rouge! wonder how they are going to have remy in it? heh

i agree that wolvie is to tall and thin. that was one of my main complaints of the first one. But i do like the guy playing him! but he realy does NOT fit the comic version of wolvie. But where they going to find a short stocky beastly looking guy? heh

while hugh jackman isn't the *perfect* size for wolverine, i thought he played the part really well in both movies.

A midget with sharp claws is neither cool looking or intimidating. I think their cast decision for Wolverine was well done.

Somebody mentioned the lack of sulfur smell when Nightcrawler teleported. Does its omission somehow detract from the story? Would the movie have been better had it been included this minor detail in the plot? Probably not.

6. When Professor X says "everything will be alright" did he mean that Jean Grey is alive or that the President was helping them out and the world (bigger picture) is going to be alright?

8. Why is Pyro a good guy?

11. I hate that they are bringing Phoenix in. When Phoenix arrives in the comic books, isn't it when there is that cheesy alien race? In the comics when Jean dies it's while saving the ship too right?

4. As others have said, the screaming girl is Siryn.

6. IMO, I think Professor X realizes that Jean's spirit is not dead and has been "reborn" in Phoenix when he says "everything will be alright" at the end of the movie. If I remember correctly, Phoenix IS NOT Jean Grey, however, she is basically a Jean Grey clone that has Jean's memories/personality and telepathic abilities. So he probably feels the presence of Phoenix and knows that while her body may be gone, her spirit is not and will return (in the next movie of course).

8. He's not. He was sent to Professor X's school, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he is a good guy. Pyro was already established as a rebel and a loose cannon (cafeteria scene and scene at Iceman's house) and remember that Magneto told Pyro that he was "a god among insects" when they were sitting in the ship in an attempt to appeal to his rebellious attitude. So you could imagine that he would likely not stay with Professor X.

11. Yea, Jean dies while saving the ship in the comics as well, but after she dies, the Phoenix Force creates what is effectively a Jean Grey clone. Jean's spirit stays alive within Phoenix and since Jean is now dead in the movie, I think they kind of have to introduce Phoenix.

With that said, this was a kickass movie. Nightcrawler was AWESOME and I cannot wait to see Gambit, Beast, and Phoenix in the next one. It will be interesting to see how big of roles Colossus and Shadowcat will have in the next movie as well. I hope the 3rd movie is announced sometime soon.

Pryo went bad because we wasn't doing anything important, just sitting around watching everyone else do the fighting. He wanted to fight and he had this potential with Magneto. He didn't stand around and wait for the cops to arrest him he took action, alot different action than most X-Men would choose. Don't you agree?

I've got a few things to add:

I've never read any X-men comics or watched the cartoon.

I thought the movie was really good.

Now... You guys are getting WAY too nitpicky. Nightcrawler isn't furry... so what? Wolverine is too tall... so what? You're getting into all these little details that don't matter. Also, about the storyline not being exactly the same: Of course it's not the same, they can't do a storyline going back to the 60s in three movies, they're adapting it it to cinema, piucking the parts they want to keep, leaving out the stuff they don't, and adding new stuff where they want to. It's based on the comic books, it is not, however, the next comic book in the series. It was a good movie and you guys are overanalyzing the thing.

I'd expect such an answer from someone with no understanding of the 40 year history from the comic books.

No, Jean Grey does not die while saving the ship in the comics... she actually lives and is in a coma-like state under the ocean for years (while the phoenix lives out her life in the real world)...until the Avengers accidentally find her and bring her back. Hence, she is alive and well in the comic book world. X-Factor started when she came back...

This is one of those movies that you WON'T understand if you don't read the comics. Kinda like LOTR. You can still enjoy the movie, and get a basic idea of whats going on...but all these characters, all these referrences, there is no way to udnerstand that.

Here is my issue ... when Professor X was using Cerebro to attack all the mutant .... why wasn't Jason Stryker affected? You'd assume that would affect the illusion, correct? As a whole I thought they didn't explain why Jason was so willing to destroy all the mutants (including himself) ... they kind of did when he said "he's going to be so mad ..." but I still was left VERY confused. To echo the rest of this thread, I was SO excited when I saw the Phoenix start coming .... all in all ... Bad Ass movie.

cuz prof x knew he was there. prof x was only looking for mutants outside the cerebro. It's not automatic. The prof has to manually look for each one and then kill them all.

Professor X knew he was inside the fake Cerebro? No sorry he didn't. Also, he doesn't have to target each mutant one by one. Notice how they all fell from the pain. Same as the humans later on.

professor knew the girl was besides him. they were "looking for the others" remember?? and the girl is a representation of Jason.

and i didnt say he was targeting mutants one by one. I said he has to look for each one. THEN kill them all.

He got shot in the skull which is lined with adamantium, if it got to his brain, he probably would have died.

Good movie, though i think i hyped it up too much in my own head.
At the risk of sounding like a big comic book geek... (which sadly, i cannot claim, as i never followed the comic books THAT thoroughly)

1) Why are the characters so stupid? i.e. when jean gray is looking for scott when he's under the influence of Stryker, she carefully walks around, looking for him AS IF SHE'S NOT FREAKIN PSYCHIC...

2) Correct me if i'm wrong, but since when could xavier stop time? I don't seem to recall that power. Though I believe Legion did do some mumbo jumbo with time travel so it SEEMS conceivable...

3) As others have said, I'd like to see how they come up with the Phoenix Saga now that the MKrann crystal has nothing to do with it....

4) Lady Deathstrike has healing factor? Can anyone else confirm this? And I hate how Wolverine seems to get his a$$ handed to him against anyone who's not a generic soldier/fighter. i.e. sabretooth, lady deathstrike, mystique, etc.

5) Agree that wolvie is a bit tall...but hey overall hugh jackman did a decent job. And they made good use of camera angles. True, he didnt look short enough, but he didnt look six-foot-something, either.

6) At the end when theyre all panicking that the helo is gone, do they not realize that they have an SR-71 Blackbird there? Speaking of which, it should NOT be VTOL, though someone may have customized it. (Forge, in the future, perhaps?) You would have thought that he would put air-to-air missles while they were at it, though.

7) Anyone notice that colossus didn't seem to have ANY accent? Has he been in the U.S. too long? And what happened to Rogue's god-awful accent? Did the director finally realize how bad it was in the first one and say "screw it, just stop pretending"?

8) How the hell did SpecOps get past the mansion's security defenses? Cerebro should have picked them up a mile away

9) Why didn't wolvie smell mystique when she tried to seduce him as jean gray? Did he have a cold or something?

Using her powers takes alot of concentration. You make it sound like every mutant uses their power 24/7. It's not like that.

2) Correct me if i'm wrong, but since when could xavier stop time? I don't seem to recall that power. Though I believe Legion did do some mumbo jumbo with time travel so it SEEMS conceivable...

I'd like to know when he got this power too!

Damned alien race!

I believe this is correct. I don't remember her not having it...

5) Agree that wolvie is a bit tall...but hey overall hugh jackman did a decent job. And they made good use of camera angles. True, he didnt look short enough, but he didnt look six-foot-something, either.

I think quite the opposite. You are giving them credit like they knew they messed up and cared. I don't think it was ever an issue to Fox to make Wolverine look short.

6) At the end when theyre all panicking that the helo is gone, do they not realize that they have an SR-71 Blackbird there? Are you saying the SR-71 should not be VTOL or the X-Men ship? I doubt Forge fixed up the SR-71.

7) Anyone notice that colossus didn't seem to have ANY accent? Has he been in the U.S. too long? And what happened to Rogue's god-awful accent? Did the director finally realize how bad it was in the first one and say "screw it, just stop pretending"?

Rogue had an accent in the first movie? I don't remember that. Was it southern? I hope so! Colossus did lose his accent, you're right.

8) How the hell did SpecOps get past the mansion's security defenses? Cerebro should have picked them up a mile away

Magneto told them how.

9) Why didn't wolvie smell mystique when she tried to seduce him as jean gray? Did he have a cold or something?

He was too horny. Testosterone inhibits his olfactory.
