i thought that's what that yellow thing was... but didn't know if it was a phoneix outline, or just some dirt on the lens ;)

Anyone else see Remy LeBeau's name on that computer? Anyone think they'll bring him into Xmen 3?

You can definately tell by mid movie when she was using her powers that she was tapping into the "pheonix" powers. The flames in her eyes and such. Not to mention the fact she basically tore apart that dam when she repelled Cyclop's blast.


Sure, they are f'ing with the comic story lines, but it was damn cool to see her hold back that wave and even control Profess X like that.


While we are on the subject...was it just me or did the quick scene where patrick stewart was being carried out of the compound, they find the chopper missing, and one person hands off patrick to another guy just a little gay? It was highly femmy move he made when he gripped the other guy around the neck.

Not to mention when Jean was controling him and speaking through him, it looked like X and Summers were going to have some kinda goodbye kiss. :Q

What was the deal with Jason and the little girl in the end with Cerebra? Who was teh girl, and what did she do? And what did Jason's brain do? What was the point of all that?

DAMN this movie rocks. Yes gotta love how they're going to bring in Phoinex. Just wonder how they'll do it.

I wish there would have been more Collossus :( maybe next movie

and I'm also hoping for Gambit and Seintinals in the next movie as well!!

Jason has the power of mind control. Even the stuff that his brain is made of can control minds (that is what his dad was using on the mutants). So, Jason was projecting the image of a little girl in Prof X's mind to get him to do what he wanted him to do. Consider the little girl the virtual self of Jason.

I wish they would have made nightcrawler furry but still the whole scarred thing was very cool.

what about Dr. Hank McCoy on the TV interview in the Bar scene? That was a nice cameo, oh and another thing about the BAR scene:

Rebecca Romajin Stamos is HOT, man she stole the show during her scenes.

I thought it was cool how when the dam was collapsing and Nightcrawler teleported in and got Professor X out, they just left Jason there and never said another word about him, not even a good riddance or anything. I thought they would at least try to save him since he was right there, or at least pretend to feel bad about leaving him behind.

Was Jason Stryker supposed to be a ripoff of Proteus? I've never heard of Jason in the X-Men comics.


Also ... the little girl who scream paralyzed the soldiers during the raid was Theresa Cassidy aka Siryn.

oh yeah.. almost forgot... Peter Winfield, best known as Methos from HIGHLANDER:TV Series, played one of the Soldiers at the base :)

I just got back from seeing it. I like the fact that the characters didn't seem to take the higher moral ground all the time; Wolverine messed those soldiers up, and Jason didn't get any sympathy at all.

what other cameos were there?...i missed Remy LeBeau's name on the computer...will look for it next time i watch it :)...saw all the others listed above...really loved how they did the phoenix in the end...and how wolverine just went berzerk on those soldiers...lot more violence and blood in this movie...me likes...hehe :D

wow i just got back from seeing it. that movie was awesome! soooo much better than the first! i caught on to the phoenix thing pretty early, too.

question, i haven't read the comics or seen the original cartoon in a long time so i forget, how did jean become phoenix/dark phoenix in the original storyline?

*edit* just did some googling and found that it happened when her and others are on a shuttle in space and she sacrafices her self to save them or something...

what's great is by the ending you KNOW there is going to be another! i just hope to see Gambit and Archangel(my fav. marvel character).

Was one of the first people this morning at my theater to see it. Great movie. Wonder when the next one will be out.
