38, personally, years of disapointment...... Now having broken, or set the record on come backs and a chance not only to end the spell but establish yet another record by winning 8 games in a row in the playoffs.... my god what an accomplishment that would be.

Lunar Eclipse tonight.. moon will turn to a reddish hue. Red...for the Sox!!!

Can't believe the Cards made it to the series with this pitching staff. How underwhelming..not one true ace.

They showed a NYC bar with people cheering for the Sox. Other than the obvious (alcohol), why are they cheering for the Sox?

Oh, and BTW- Break out the heaters, cause it looks like Hell is freezing over tonight.

Just thought of this, if the sox win tonight, it will be the clubs first WS win in 80 some odd years, on a full moon, with a total lunar eclipse.... with a sweep of the cardnials the same team that denied them in 1967what are the freakin odds?
Thanks sleepmachine and jalaram

errr the Red Sox lost to the Mets in 1986. Guess those odds aren't that great!

Change the year to 1967 and it was the Cards then.

Cardinals can't buy a run!

So many missed opportunities ... so pathetic. Rolen can't hit anything but a pop-up and Edmonds can't hit. Red Sox are giving them opportunities to score and the Cardinals don't want to take advantage. :disgust:

Last time the Sox won a World Series was 1914? Damn, even though I'm not a sox fan I think they are due.
