Why pinch hit for a bunt?

I love how the two long time Rays players (Baldelli and Crawford) are performing in the playoffs.

Aaaaand Werth should have been picked off again at first. Possibly the worst baserunning I've ever seen in a WS.

Really? Up to bat was Howard vs. a lefty and the Rays pitcher's spot up the next inning. It was definitely a time to take a risk.

I guess the other three posters who acutally care about any of this are all at the game. 😉

Sorry dude, I was at class. I just got home in time for the first (or 76th or whatever) pitch.

Nice play by Utley, however, why didn't he just go to first if there were two outs. If he couldn't get Iwamura, then Bartlett screwed up by continuing to run home.

He saw he had no play at first. It was a heads up play for a guy, who if the Phils win this series, deserves serious NL MVP consideration.

Easily the best 2B in the game.

I never thought I'd say this, even as early as spring training this year, but I hope we manage to re-sign Burrell.

Why can't OURS get out?

Rocco hit it low to avoid the wind. Burrell hit it high. Same to how Longoria's blast stayed in the park. His hit should've beeen a HR as well. The difference is that Burrell is at least at 2nd instead of an out.

This submarining idiot is in again. Anyone remember Game 7 with the Sox, I think it was, where he was intentionally walking a guy and still throwing like that? Man, Jesse Orosco is probably talking about how big a fool this guy is 🙂

I can just picture him on the front lawn playing catch with his son, submarining the ball.

Haha, I thought, when one of those idiots said with Feliz coming up that Charlie had lots of options (meaning pinch-hitting Dobbs for Feliz) that there was NO WAY Charlie was going to do that because he was liking what he's seen out of Feliz in the post season, as opposed to any regular season stats.

phillies are putting on a clinic for nl small ball

I know. And every major media outlet was saying they were out early in the playoffs bc they can't manufacture a run.

The long ball didn't get us to 3-1.
