I'm surprised people think Algeria is the worst team in the group, I think Slovenia is. They beat Algeria on a lucky goal (I didn't see it but that's what everyone here seems to think) and by all rights lost to the US. I think England will beat them handily. I'm much more nervous for the US club, Algeria looked very comfortable holding possession. I could easily see the US tying Algeria (or even losing) while England trounces Slovenia.

I like Algeria, they looked composed and cohesive, Slovania got a lucky goal against them.

Yeah they have a good defense but their offensive power is abysmal..it's telling that they still haven't scored after 2 games.

Also, they need to score against the US if they want a chance to advance. This means that they will open up. The US can capitalize on that and score on the counter.

Let's hope that today's blunder becomes the ultimate motivation for TEAM USA. If they don't come out swinging, determined, and angry, I don't know what will ever get them to that point.

ahh sweet victory....but there still isnt any chance of them reversing the call is there?

nope. fifa likes that tragic bullshit made by human error. they say it makes shit interesting.

i don't know why no one gives a crap about mexico being robbed the win by a bad call (offsides). they should be leading group a with 6 points...

I head BP has a new solution for the oil spill.

They are going to try the junk shot again, but this time they are going to use the English soccer team 🙂

I thought refs were bad in hockey, but after seeing Germany-Serbia and US-Slovenia I don't think I'll ever complain again.

You'd think the Cardman from Spain would be tough to beat, but then comes this moron from Mali. There was the imaginary hand ball, loads of missed/wrong calls, and then he tops it off with a disallowed goal when there's like 4 US players being held in the box... And he can't even tell anyone what his call is? What a joke.

That is Africa, the entire continent is third world. What do you expect?

Do you expect the pinnacle of honesty, with minimal bigotry and not a nationalistic racist to be found? Well you came to the right place! Welcome to Africa! (whatever shithole part you're in)

I bet if you slipped any ref a few thousand USD, you could get any call you want your way.

Maybe that call was some plot to get Americans to care about soccer a little bit.

Here's a true World Cup collectible:

They did have their chances, just could not cash in on them.

wow, you got a lot of bitterness and bigotry bottled up don't you.

So the Dutch plan is to kick the Japanese players in the head to sideline them? 😛

Dutch just had a good chance.

edit:that good chance on replay looks like offside
