Looks like the teams that have been picked to win the cup are cursed :p

Was anyone outside of England picking England to win the cup? Of the seeded teams, they were expected to easily be the weakest coming in. They were stronger in early qualifying, but really hit a lull when the tournament got close.

Apparently they were picked as a contender... or so I just heard on the commentary.

I for one remember the amazing ability of the English team to find a way to lose :biggrin:

My thoughts too. A good England team would probably make it to the quarters, but I can't see them going further than that.

I am actually quite impressed by Algeria, their individual skill may not be world class yet, but it looks like a team.

Problem with the big name nations is they suck at putting together a team. They usually end up with a bunch of very talented player that can't work as a team.
