omg GHANA!!! GHANA's totally dominating! the score should be like 5-0 instead of 2-0!!!! LOL. They have a shot-on-goal on nearly every possession. Not only that, they're the most sportsmanlike team i've ever seen as of yet.

I have a new favorite team (aside from US and Korea, hehe :p). Go GHANA!!! what a match!

Damn, Ghana's putting on a clinic. They have nice ball handling skills and possession skills. They can pass really well.

1-1 at Half, Red Card for both teams. :Q

not impressed with the Italian's cynical style of play or the refereeing in that one. At least one of the US dismissals was harsh IMO.
The USA dominated much of that game and almost scored with 9 men on the field. Italy was lucky to get out of there with a point. Still, the lack of scoring by the USA is worrisome...

Agreed, that's the main element the US team seem to lack IMO - a top quality goalscorer

It's looking that way at the moment. Brazil have yet to shine but then when you reach the knockout stages some teams should start to perform better.

If France wins and SK and the Swiss tie, it will be decided by how much France wins by:

France wins by one: France and Korea flip a coin for 2nd place, Switzerland is in 1st
France wins by two: France and Switzerland go through and flip a coin for 1st/2nd place
France wins by three: France goes through in 1st and Switzerland goes through in 2nd.

Togo is out, so Ghana is the only African nation that still has a shot at the second round. They have to beat the USA to get through. I still think the US is going to make it through along with Italy.

Togo can knock France out so they still have a job to do :D

I hope the USA get through as well

Well, 10% of you voted for a team that has already been eliminated. That'l go up in an hour after the last 2 first round matches are played.

It's half-time and 0-0 between Italy and Australia. Italy have fashioned the best chances but Australia have done enough to suggest they could cause an upset

Italy is alot more experienced in Penalty kicks, they used to thrive on them, so i think the aussies better score before they leave it up to chance.

Down to 10, Italy will really struggle with fitness as the match drags on, and even moreso if they go into extra time.
