man US deserved to lose this. they played like crap and had to reley on questionable calls. I am disapointed but not suprised. it seemed like the US just did not care about the game.
 
sucks but thats life. at least i can stop worrying about peavy taking a comebacker in the eye socket before the season starts.
 
Isn't it something?? Japan got screwed ...now they advance to the next round for one more game against heated rival Korea!! They get one more shot! Third time the charm?

ohh yeah. that should be a damn good game. some awesome teams in the semi-finals. HOPE they still show them on TV with US being out.

espn has both games on saturday. one game at 3pm est and the other game at 10pm est. also, the championship game is on monday at 9pm est on espn.

korea is looking really strong and has a lot of momentum going their way. some say they are the dominant team, others may say they are overdue for a loss. either way you slice it, it should be a great game on saturday. especially after having such good 1-run games with japan previously. i also think korea is going to go all the way. just a nice combo of strong pitching and hitting going for them right now.

First WBC, but DEFINITELY a memorable one.

yeap i agree. so far all the games i have seen have been awesome.
 
i normally avoid watching baseball, but the WBC's have been compelling. with all this national pride at stake, it makes for intense matchups. i mean, korea vs japan is always intriguing, no matter the sport 😀
 
Cuba beats the DR 3 to 1 and will face the winner of tonights Japan vs Korea game. Fun game today and that big Cuban pitcher Lazo has really good stuff.

Korea vs Japan III should be good fun too.
