Monarch = :thumbsdown:

Have you tried contacting them? I was getting a little concerned since I paid an extra $30 for overnight shipping with saturday delivery and hadn't seen anything about it being shipped so I called them up. They were very polite and quickly informed me that my order was boxed and awaiting pickup by the FedEx guy.

Give them a call and see what happens.

My 3700+ SD shipped out on Friday and will get here Monday... the folks @ Monarch have been exceptionally helpful and I've been an exceptional PITA.

some rumors going around about the SD 3700+ MIGHT be a better choice than the venice 3800+ he insist the 1mb catche works out better than 512 . but this are rumors.

Interesting rumor about 3700 being better than 3800, as I'm about to choose between the two to build by MSI K8n SLI system. Anyone have any ideas what usage/application environment would utilize the extra L2 cache to more than offset the 100 loss of speed?

I'm running mostly MS Access, minimal gaming, limited multi-tasking and then only stuff like virus scan, adaware, Nero backitup, etc. Even those I can do over lunch or dinner, or while out shopping.

Also, after reading the reviews of AMD multi-core which appears to be the wave of the future and assuming availabilty of M2 socket and processors maybe a year away at most, I'm even wondering if I just shouldn't get a 3000 Venice and a minimal mobo to tide me over for the next year.

All applications can take advantage of 1mb of Cache over 5412k.

Thats just a bigger chunk of data the CPU can process from its memory.

Since 3700's are clocking just as high, if not higher, than a 3800, the 300+ wins hands down. No "Rumor" needed.

Monarch has been incredibly good about getting these chips out, at least in my experience. They've upgraded shipping on me twice now for two different orders. Definetely order with them in the future.

Found out Friday (this morning) NCIX in Canada shipped my 3200+ Venice (285 canadian but free shipping). I preordered it just last Saturday. Was waiting as long as I could hoping for a price reduction. They had on their site for the longest time saying it would be released on the week of May 9 so they kept their word. My Parents computer to be is waiting for my old 2500 Barton processor and I have a friend waiting for my ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe MB. And most importantly my Gigabyte K8NS Ultra 939 MB has been sitting on my desk for nie 3 weeks. Also looks like the Gigabyte website has a new BIOS to load. Guess I will be giving the dual bios a work out.
