Akuma if you're counting ssf2t
Ken if it's just sf2t

I believe ken and ryu were the same in the original sf2 release

I think they were the same also, though Ken's throw with Roundhouse might have been 2 rolls rather than one (just a difference in animation).

You are correct sir!

Does anyone remember the invisible throw glitch with Guile in the original SF2? I remember the first time I saw that I was OMFGWTFBBQZORZ what just happened??? Very cool and fun glitch once you got the hang of it.

Yea I remember that, I couldn't believe it when I first saw it :p

If you want to see it again, I'll do it for you. ;) I could put it in a combo and have even thrown Blanka and Honda out of their roll/torpedo with it. I even threw Chun-Li while I was on gound (obviously) and she jumped in the far corner of the screen. She just fell out of the air. :)

The FUNNIEST time was when the version of SFII came out where it allowed Ken/Ryu to throw fireballs in the air. Well some cheap punk decided it would be cool to keep stair stepping the fireballs (the character would keep jumping up after each fireball was thrown, and would keep elevating himself higher and higher). He started laughing when he elevated himself right off the screen and started to come up from the ground. Well once he came through the ground you couldn't touch him. You could kick and punch him all you wanted but the computer thought he was in the sky somewhere so it didn't register the hit. Well he cycled a couple of times through the screen and since he was a little ahead in energy he KNEW he was going to win the match. Well I did the, what I call "the touch of death," on him and his character went in reverse through the screen at least a few times and slammed on the ground. I win! He looked at me like he didn't know what the hell just happened to him. I just laughed at him. :)

Ok, here's a question for everyone: did you give second rounds?

I pretty much always gave second rounds unless the guy I was playing against was a complete jerk. I always felt bad for the newbs that would join in and just mash the buttons widly, so they definitely always got second rounds.

Yeah, pretty much.

What I also did was, when I was at the arcade and there weren't people to play, I'd play the computer and get to the bonus stage (where you break the car) and do a one legged stand with Guile. This in essence would pause the game when the time ran out. Well people would come up to the SFII machine and put their quarters in and it would just stay frozen there. They'd just assume the game wasn't working and would move on. After awhile of playing other games I'd come back to the SFII game, unpause it and BAM, I've got all kinds of credits. :)

Oh it was cool alright...for me. :) Hey, anyone could have unpaused it, if they knew how. You gotta be a Guile master though. ;)

The best ****** to do at an arcade is get on your knees and play one handed.
I used to also turn my back to the screen and tell people to hold on while i took a call, then just tuern back ar ound and attack them while they had the "are freakin serious" look on their face.

This game brings back too many memories.
I also loved playing against people who thought "throwing" was cheap, threw em all day anyways
:)

Throwing is the best, lots of cheap combos where you can force your opponent to either take damage or eat a throw when they block :D

I played one handed, back turned, and also called out the move the other guy was going to do before he did it. That really pissed people off. :)

Street Fighter II Turbo was my favorite. I played like crazy in college. Even skipped classes 'cause I was still winning or losing. Great game! Ryu and Ken were my best bets, but I learned everyone pretty well. If I needed to win against someone, I took Ken. Otherwise, I'd use whatever character against 'em. Great series of games. Super was too slow, after Turbo. Alpha was kinda cool. They just kept coming up with new ones. I didn't play those. I bought the PS2 version and it was fun.
Can we play each other online with any existing system? I'll challenge anyone here! :)
