Ken since original SF II back in early 90's, although it has been a long time since I have played.

Zangief

At first cause I didn't know what I was doing and had a lot of luck with chaining body slams and later because nobody else used him and it was a challenge.

I always played with Chun Li (or whatever the hell her name was). I wasn't particularly good, just the only character whose moves I knew well enough to waste a quarter on. :D

guile, ken or chun-li....depended on who I was playing. Man, back in the day I played the crap out of SFII. I could beat it on level 7 (highest) on the SNES usually without losing a match except sometimes to Bison. No one I could find could beat me. I just had the timing down so perfect it was damn near impossible to block most moves. Pissed off alot of people at the arcade. I started seriously looking for the used arcade machines last year sometime but couldn't find anything local and didn't want to pay a mint for freight.

/sorry, wasn't trying to brag.

Sagat ftw!

For all who don't already know, you can play SFII online on a pc with mame and kaillera. The only problem is most people on it are ridiculously good.

I wasn't much of a fan of SF2, I alway's prefered Mortal Kombat...it always seemed faster to me

on level 7, bison was... nearly impossible for me.

I tried to play the game hard enough to be decent at it. it made things fun, me and my brother would go at it...

Killer Instinct on the snes, now that was such a good game. I keep thinking about how well RARE and Nintendo put this game out on a 16-bit platform. I mean... it was a legend. People all over the world awe'd at this game.

Anyway, SF II, when it hit stores, within hours, it sold out very quickly!

Reminds me of the first time release of the PS2.

Akuma if you're counting ssf2t
Ken if it's just sf2t

I believe ken and ryu were the same in the original sf2 release

I think they were the same also, though Ken's throw with Roundhouse might have been 2 rolls rather than one (just a difference in animation).

You are correct sir!

Does anyone remember the invisible throw glitch with Guile in the original SF2? I remember the first time I saw that I was OMFGWTFBBQZORZ what just happened??? Very cool and fun glitch once you got the hang of it.
