Ibrahimovic's goal....... hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooly cow, I know he played a good last season at Ajax where they nearly advanced to the Champions League final but I think he will be the next great player(Zidane, Ronaldo style). He's playing SO smart, simply a genius!

Yup. I am very impressed with Latvia.

They are playing extremely well, especially considering that they barely have 100 professional footballers in their country. (or so claims the commentator)

Germany are playing better in the second half but Latvia keeps hitting them on counter.

I was cheering for the Dutch but wow. Fantastic game of the highest class.

I also thought the second yellow was very harsh.

I thought the ref was quite consistent, actually. The only call I completely disagreed was Ruud being taken down in the penalty box. I mean, wtf. The defender dude was hugging Ruud the whole time then took him down. How the f*ck is that not a penalty?

IDK thats what they were saying at 1/2, "what do you have to do to get a penalty kick"?

The dutch coach was a moron for changing out Robben, he will get lynched if Germany beats the Czechs, who now have nothing to play for.

Very unlucky for the Dutch! I was so hoping they would at least draw the match. Many bad calls. Shouldn't have taken Arjen Roben out. Both teams were very good at offense. Gave the defense a run for their talents.

Got to give credit to the Czechs though. Nedved and Baros played very well.

I really hope Germany will win the next game even tough it will be very difficult. Maybe the Czech Republic will not give 100% as they already claimed the #1 spot in group D.

Whoa, we lost But it's nice to see my team losing the best game there was until now at the Euro. The Czech deserved to win, actually, fair would have been if it ended in a 2-2 but Soccer isn't fair(England - France). I just hope the Czech will kick the Germans in the nads and Holland wins against Latvia. Whatta great game today but I thought the Ref sucked MAJOR donkey balls, whatta retard!

Wow, what a game. First match of the Czech team that I've watched live in 9 years and what a game it was (well worth $20!). Unbelievable, down 0-2 and they pulled it off. Soooo happy to watch that game, too bad I didn't have anyone to share my happiness with! Fortunately, going to the Czech Republic for my sister's wedding, so I'll watch the quarterfinal game live in the Czech Republic, with all my buddies. Can't wait!!! BTW, Czech team will NOT lose against Germans, they will not hand it to them, at most it will be a tie. My guess is 1-1.

Czech Republic v Holland was amazing - think a draw would have been fairest result but the football was enthralling, shame the ref ruined some if it with the red card. Let's hope Holland make it through as well, the Germans uninspired football doesn't deserve a place in the quarter finals

So we are in the final round of the group stage.

Let's assess what will happen in Group A.

If Spain wins: Spain and Greece advance.

If Portugal wins: Portugal advances and... (Spain's fate relies on the outcome of the other match)
if Greece wins or ties, Greece advances;
if Greece loses to Russia, the runner-up is determined by goal difference.

If Spain and Portugal tie: Spain and Greece advance
-> because Portugal will be level on points with Greece at best (i.e. if Greece loses to Russia), and Greece had already beaten Portugal.

If Portugal loses: Spain and Greece advance.

Correct any mistakes if you find any.
