And they don't need to completely revoke democracy, they only need to continue to erode it sufficiently to ensure they continue to win in perpetuity (as with the likes of Orban - even Putin didn't come to power as an unchallengeable despot).

The capitalist/plutocrat class don't necessarily _want_ fascism.
