watched 3 eps in a row last night... first ones i have seen this season
i think melissa and eugene need to go. they made dishes they thought were good that were unanimously disliked. obviously every chef will have flops, but they acknowledge it... shows they will take risks, but also learn from mistakes. it seems like those two will make mistakes (habanero shrimp and the poisson cru), but arent willing to accept it.
like, if a person starts with a bad idea (like the creme brulee), its no surprise they disappoint. if they start with a good idea, but fail to execute, there is still room for improvement... part of the puzzle is still missing. but if your idea is good, and your execution is good, and the result sucks... you did the best you could and its just time to go.
fabio/jeff/the cocky guy are my favorite personalities, not sure yet on their food. fav line - 'this is top chef, not top scallop' lololol
